I would be delighted to write a positive review of Lock-Jaw HEX 50mm, which is an outstanding product for weightlifters of all levels! As someone who frequents the gym and has lifted heavy weights for years, I can attest that finding the right collars for my barbell has been a challenge. My gym does not have flush callers, only spring-loaded callers, and the movement of the "slop" on the plates can be very disorienting, especially when attempting to squat close to 600 pounds. This is where Lock-Jaw HEX 50mm has been an absolute game-changer for me. The fact that these collars are flush helps to solve the disorientation problem that I have faced in the past. The movement of the barbell feels much more stable and secure with these collars, which has allowed me to focus on my form and technique during my lifts. In the past, I have purchased other collars that have a rubber gasket on the inside. While they were affordable, over time, especially when leaving them in a cold car overnight, the gasket began to break down, making it increasingly difficult to get the collar on the barbell. This is not an issue with the Lock-Jaw HEX 50mm collars, as they do not have a rubber insert. They are well worth the additional price, as I have a feeling that these will last for an extremely long time and they won't have to be replaced every few years like the rubber gasket-style collars. Overall, I would highly recommend Lock-Jaw HEX 50mm collars to anyone who is looking for an excellent product that is both reliable and easy to use. These collars are flush, which provides excellent stability and support during lifts, and they are made with high-quality materials that are built to last. Seem to lock on solid and have not let me down when deadlifting 400 pounds. For my requirements in my garage gym they seem just fine.

I landed on these for my home gym after scrolling through barbell collar pages for a while, based on the good reviews. They are surprisingly well made and slide on/off (while unlocked) easily over the 2" olympic barbell. The locking mechanism is simple and holds well also. Never had any slips or anything and I can get the weight snug to the end of the bar. I get tired of dealing with the spring style collars that I wanted something simple to pull weight on and off the bar. I don't lift a ton of weight so doing heavy deadlifts isn't an issue for me; but I have read that some collars will snap on very heavy (300+ lbs) lifts. These seem durable enough to where that might not be an issue but if you're moving that kind of weight, you'll likely just want to get traditional metal collars.

At my gym when I go to an area that uses the clamps I usually have to go on the hunt for some so this is an absolute win. No more hunting for clamps!! The quality is amazing and super easy to use. It locks perfectly and is easy to put on and take off. The color is so cute. I absolutely love this and am super happy I purchased this. I only wished I would’ve sooner

I keep these in my gym bag. Wish I'd bought these years ago. They are so much easier to use than the metal spring clamps... and more importantly, having my own set means I'm not chasing down clamps at the gym... Easy on, easy off, and the color choices make it possible you can ID your own set without any problems. I even wrote my name on them in marker.
