Nice Machine
This is my second Instant 3-1. My first lasted from 12/22 to 1/25, until both water pumps quit working. First it was the k-cup side which didn't bother me as much as I like my espresso in the morning.I called Instant company and they told me that they didn't handle replacement parts . Now, when I ordered another to replace my first one that had finally quit. I ran into some issues. The first machine came and had the same issue as the one that died, not pumping water. I sent it back and ordered a second. This machine had an internal leak that flooded my countertop so I sent it back and ordered again. When the 3rd delivery came, I was anxious as I was not wanting to have to send this back and find something totally different to get my mornings going. This machine worked, relieved. I hope this one lasts at least the duration of my first initial purchase . I love the fact that it takes espresso and k-cup pods for ease in getting my day started.

Poor Reliability
I bought this coffee maker about 14 months ago and up until 2 months ago it has been amazing. First the good - both the espresso and k-cup functions work really well. I haven't had any issues with any of the k-cups (both reusable/single use) or espresso pods. The reservoir is a perfect size, not too big or too small and it's removable. The coffee/espresso size options are also pretty versatile and will fit most coffee/espresso drinkers well. For the fact that it's dual use, the foot print is actually pretty small and although it might not be perfect for a small space it's efficient in size. The drip tray is removable to accommodate taller mugs/tumblers and the espresso pods get put in an internal waste basket that can be removed once it gets full. To access it you pull the espresso cup tray out. Now the not so good...its pretty loud. It's never been an issue for me, but it can be unpleasant. The cord is also ridiculously short. For an appliance that is going to be on a counter top, it's not so bad - but I have mine on a bar cart and it barely reaches the outlet that is lined up with the bar cart. Finally, and my biggest issue, is the unit started leaking. It looks like it leaks from the bottom of the reservoir where it connects to the machine and causes a mess on the floor. I tried descaling and it seemed to help the k-cup side, but it had no effect on dripping when I used the espresso side (could be a pressure thing?). About a month later and the k-cup side has started leaking profusely again. I've also noticed it leads to less coffee. I saw numerous other reviews that mentioned this and I do believe this comes from either a bad batch of parts, or some type of design flaw. I did reach out to the manufacturer and they are sending a replacement unit after sending a video of the leaking/proof of purchase. It seems it's kind of a mixed bag in terms of leaking. I would still highly recommend this, but just be aware that if you get leaking, you should reach out to the manufacturer immediately. If this unit was quieter and didn't have reliability problems it would be a solid 5/5. When it works, I love it! ***JUNE 2025 UPDATE*** After I got the replacement units things were working great until 2 days ago when it wouldn't brew any coffee or espresso. Additionally only the 2oz espresso and 8oz coffee lights blink. There was atleast one other person that left a review with the exact same issue. After having two defective units with two different problems I can't really recommend this anymore.

Finally a HOT hot cup of coffee.
As a coffee lover who needs that perfect morning brew, I was on the hunt for a machine that could do it all—espresso, regular coffee, and not take up half my counter. Enter the Instant Pod Coffee Maker, and let me just say, it’s been a game-changer. First Impressions Right out of the box, the machine looks sleek and modern. It’s got a small footprint, which is great because my kitchen counter is already packed with too many gadgets. The controls are simple, and I had it set up in under five minutes (rare for me—I usually have to wrestle with manuals). Performance & Coffee Quality The best part? It takes both K-Cup pods and Nespresso capsules, so I can switch between a bold espresso shot and a full cup of coffee whenever I want. I’ve tried both, and honestly, I was surprised at how good the espresso was. The crema on top gives it that real café feel. The machine also lets you choose different cup sizes (from 2 oz to 12 oz), which is great because sometimes I just need a quick, strong shot, and other times, I want a big, comforting cup to sip on. It heats up fast—like under a minute—so no waiting around when you’re in a rush. Ease of Use & Cleaning Super simple to use—pop in a pod, press a button, and you’re good to go. One thing I really appreciate is the 68 oz water tank because I don’t have to refill it constantly. Also, it has a used capsule container, which makes clean-up easier (no fumbling around trying to fish out a hot pod). Cleaning is straightforward. I do a quick rinse cycle every few days and wipe it down, and so far, no issues. Any Downsides? If I had to nitpick, the machine is a bit loud when it brews. Not a dealbreaker, but if you have a light sleeper in the house, they might hear it. Also, it doesn’t have a built-in milk frother, so if you love lattes, you’ll need to get one separately. Final Verdict Overall, I’m really happy with this coffee maker. It saves space, gives me more options than a regular pod machine, and makes great coffee fast. If you love both espresso and drip coffee but don’t want multiple machines, this is 100% worth it.

Most used coffee machine we ever had !!
I dont typically write reviews, but this machine is AMAZING ! Bought as a gift for the missus who was spending in her opinion too much money every morning at Starbucks, but also does not have the time (or patience) to make an espresso, or pot of coffee. So i got her this as it makes both the Kurig and Nespresso style pods... Well its been in use every day for the last 6 months by us all. And while we have Kurig pods, we just stick with the Nespresso style as they are SO MUCH tastier !! :D Coffee is amazing, and as hot as any similar machine (not quite as hot as a proper espresso machine) but thats par the course. The bold setting does make it hotter, but havent really noticed any other difference. Takes seconds to make a coffee or two. Press the on button to jump start the initial (few seconds) warm up while you select your pod for the morning ;) Have yet to find a nespreso pod that really allows you to use the 6oz setting, but so far all taste amazing with 4oz. just double up if you want more :) Remember to keep clean. All steam making devices are prone to water mold if left un cleaned. I spray down once a month with surface cleaner, and run a full cycle for both pod styles. Water tank is large enough you dont have to fill too often, and is SUPER easy to refill. Wish the Nespresso pods eject tray was visible to see when its full, as pods can get stuck when its too full and makes the tray jam for a bit when trying to empty it. It does drip a little when done, this varies from cup to cup. Just let it happen and wash the lower tray when needed.... what else... really the faults are nit-picking. the pros are great, easy coffee. Really didnt want to like this as much as i do. Nice to be able to make each pod style, for the same price as a nespresso machine. if your on the fence just buy it and enjoy :D

Initial review: So far, very happy! **UPDATED** lost star due to wear issue
[UPDATED AT BOTTOM - 09/01/2022 & 10/19/2024] Seriously. Most purchases are either okay, indifferent, or just plain bad. Rarely do you make one that you find yourself REALLY happy over. This has been one of those rare purchases for me. My prior Keurig Duo broke down after only a couple of years of service, but long enough to discover that I didn't have much use for the pot brewing function. Still, I prefer to follow the Alton Brown rule of only one unitasker in the kitchen, so I chose this little beauty after doing some research into the unnecessary complexity of espresso brewing and deciding upon the Nespresso system for such a function. I was also swayed by the brand name, as I have an Instant Pot and have found it to be of reasonably good quality over time. I have not yet had this item long enough to determine longevity, so this review does not include that, at this time. I am pleased to note that the items functions are spot on with the information given and it works well with all tests I performed on both sets of functions. The K-cup side is pretty much par for the course with the exception of the addition of the 'bold' button. This seems to slow the brewing function slightly to allow for better flavor transfer from the coffee in the pod, but not enough to noticeably affect performance time. It does, however, have a positive impact on one of my favorite flavored coffee pods that always tasted way too strong at the lowest setting, but too weak at the next setting. The bold setting seems to take the flavor intensity back an ounce to make it just right at the larger setting. As for the Nespresso side, I must admit to having no prior experience with any other Nespresso based device, so it is definitely novel for me... and, oddly, kinda fun in its operation. The capsule storage tray is accurately described as handling up to 10 empty capsules... NOT 11. The tolerances are too tight. Disposal is very quick and easy, though. To the point that I kind of wish the K-cup side worked the same way. It is this function that I have become rather enamored of and have discovered that I can easily make a mean latte at home that rivals any coffee house with this. About the only real concern that I have found is with the opening of the top for loading in K-cups & capsules is rather rough and using a second hand to stabilize the machine when opening the top is advisable. I don't know if this is a problem, or not, as I have no reference for comparison, but it does not seem to have any other impact upon function. It's just... worrisome. I will update after a business quarter or two. ***UPDATE - 09/01/2022*** *sigh* Another great product marred by cheap materials. The bad news: the top of the unit, where the hinge is, has developed breaks in the plastic from normal use. I can not see, without tearing the unit apart (no), if it is a real hinge problem, or simply a fascia issue. The former is a bigger concern than the latter, of course. But, even if only a fascia issue, it's utterly unacceptable within the first year of use. The good news: So far, this does not seem to affect actual operations of the unit, so still pretty happy - (engages ominous voice) so far.... I will update again (you can't stop me! - ha ha!). ***UPDATE 10/19/2024*** The lost star remains lost for the aforementioned reasons BUT no further loss of stars to report. The unit lost some more fascia plastic at the hinged area, but still continues to perform per specifications. I admit to being a bit lax on the cleaning and maintenance, though I have done some standard maintenance and cleaning. The use of the unit has been in a family group of about 5 with multiple cups of both sides of the unit being brewed daily. This remains a 'Would Buy Again'.

Our favorite machine out of three
Love it one slim machine that does both coffee and espresso pods! Low maintenance don’t have to buy their brand of pods for it to work like others! We have had the original Keurig, DeLongi, and Cuisanart machines and this one has been our favorite! Very easy to use! It is long, narrow and tall so we do have to leave it a little away from the wall so the top will open all the way to put in the pods. So if you have a narrow space and tall or no cabinet above it this one will work the best from those I mentioned above.

A brewing Return!
If you dislike the pain and the inconvenience (and the restocking fees) that the Returns process entails, then this is not a product that you want to buy. The odds are that many of this products’ numerous shortcomings are likely to provide you a compelling reason to reject it…eventually. We got this for its purported versatility with processing both the Nespresso Original capsules and the K-cups. Alas, the issues with the Nespresso capsules kept surfacing to the point that 30 days later we stopped making excuses on its behalf and decided to make the return. Now, there are reviews that point to these several shortcomings, but we decided to overlook it hoping that they were one-off manufacturing issues. However, from the flimsy plastic to the creaky, jerky, clumsy closing lid to the incessant and prolonged drip that continues a good 15-20 seconds after the brew, to the annoying splatter, to the noises that grew more and more disconcerting - this was as documented by others, a manufacturing nightmare. But, the final straw was the repeated failures in puncturing the nespresso capsules every now and then. It would crumple up the capsule and beep an error. So, finally after one too many wasted capsules and a substandard Nespresso brew, we bit the bullet and re-packaged it and shipped it back. A 15% or $30~ hit will be worth all the savings in frustration that we would have continued to encounter. The brand whose other products the household has enjoyed over the years has now a tarnished reputation that has made us wary of any future products that we may consider. I would imagine that there are more people that keep it than return it, just that the odds are not worth it. And if I could save just a few from gambling that their piece would work, then it would be worth the time to write this up! And the reason for Amazon tagging this as a “highly returned item” is not because of people not reading the product specs but because those specs don’t quite pan out as described.

Good coffee, poor design
We got this coffee maker about a year ago (10 months in use) as we wanted a single gadget for quick K-cup coffees as well as Nespresso Pods. The overall footprint and idea definitely delivers, and the coffee is very consistent. However, within 6 months, the top started cracking (which you see in the photo). The machine is still currently operational, but the cracks get worse each day and I’m not sure how much longer it will last. This wasn’t cheap enough to replace easily either. The second flaw is the sheer frequency of descaling required. Unlike typical Keurigs where you can bypass the alert for descaling a little, the machine starts flashing all its lights and will refuse to brew a cup of coffee until you fully descale. While I appreciate descaling is a part of maintenance, we have had to do this 6 times now, so almost every other month. This is extra tough when you’re new parents with a baby at home and no ability to bypass to a more convenient time - while caffeine deprived. All in all, loved the concept of a one-stop-shop and ability to use K-cups and Nespresso pods, but the quality and user experience has been poor.

La verdad que muy buena cafetera, una vez que seleccionas el tamaño de tu taza, te olvidas de detenerla para que no se tire el café

I am a repeat customer of this Instant Pot coffee Maker
We are extreme coffee lovers here. My husband drinks a minimum of 6 cups of coffee a day. I personally enjoy 2 espressos and about a coffee or or two a day myself. So needless to say it gets overused. Our first one lasted us from April 2022 until May 2024 (2 good years). The machine would stop half way through making a coffee and was loud so we choose to retire it. We ordered one in the beginning of May 2024 that we had to return. The day it arrived I tried to make my espresso and found that it didn't work. The coffee side worked fine though. I instantly started the return process and sent it back the following day and awaited the refund to order again. Once the return was processed I reorder again. This third one is working perfectly. I am excited that I can have my espresso martini's again. 😁 What I like about this coffee maker is you can use k-cup pods, fresh coffee grounds and nespresso capsules without having to have 2 machines. I also like that it has a large 68oz water reservoir. I definitely recommend this Instant Pod, 3 in 1 coffee maker over keurig brand. Hoping this one lasts as long as our first one. 🤞 Update: I was less impressed this time around. It last from May 2024 until July 2025 unlike the first one I got the first time around. Also the machine was louder this time. Oh, and I had issues with the same coffee pods I've always used not fitting correctly and having the pods explode more often then not. I even tried different brands with the same issue. I haven't decided what kind or brand I am going to purchase next. But it won't be this one. However I do still like the Brand.

It lasts until the INSTANT it needs its first cleaning!
I received this coffee maker as a gift for my birthday in June of last year. It worked wonderfully for about 300 cups of coffee. When the machine starting flashing that it was time to be cleaned, I followed the instructions to the letter. There was absolutely no build up in the machine, the citric acid and water mix wasn't even the slightest bit cloudy. After the machine was "cleaned", it would no longer function on the k-cup side. The water seemed to bypass the k-cup so all I got was hot water. I called support thinking that maybe the machine was stuck in cleaning mode and that I needed to press some sequence of buttons to make it work. They told me that the machine must still be dirty and to clean the needles and run another batch of citric acid and water through the machine. Again I followed the instructions and the machine still did not work. I looked to the internet for help but no luck. Nothing anyone suggested fixed the machine. At this point I called the company back. They sent me a replacement. For about 3 months or 300 cups, the machine functioned perfectly. When it came time for a cleaning, the whole process repeated. Again I called the company. They replaced the machine again. I suggested that they should take the machines back as there was definately a manufacturer defect. I thought they might be interested in looking at their failed product so they could do better in the future. They were not interested. 300 cups later, here I am again in the same situation. Only now my warranty has run out. I have purchased a different brand of coffee maker now. In case Instant Pot is interested, my husband took the last machine apart (I knew it wouldn't be covered as I was about 2 weeks past my warranty...the company made that quite clear) and he found the problem. Now all of these machines are headed to our local landfill...what a waste. This company should be ashamed for making such garbage.

Undesirable and unacceptable customer service from Frootle India
The coffee machine performs well—for as long as it lasts. Unfortunately, mine functioned without issues for less than two years, and that’s when the experience changed entirely. Frootle India, the authorised service partner for the Instant brand, is causing significant damage to the brand’s reputation in India. The parent company and global leadership would do well to review the impact this partnership is having on customer trust. The customer service experience has been exceptionally poor. My machine stopped working in August 2025, and for the past four months it has been shuttled back and forth to the Mumbai service centre. Each time it has been returned to me as a “repaired” unit, I’ve discovered new damage—including a broken fascia, water tank, drip tray, upper lid clutch, and issues with the water pump, among others. Given the extent of mishandling, I requested a replacement as a goodwill gesture. This was declined on the grounds that it is “against their policy,” despite the clear evidence of service negligence. My advice to those interested in buying the machine would be to “use and throw” and not expect any service.
