Day 1 defective graphics card. Small black lines all over screen. No foam support padding for GPU.
Review for: CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme VR Gaming PC, 3080 TI, Intel Core i9-12900KF 3.2GHzThe title should read "A fool and his money are easily parted"Before you read on...you need to know that a few months ago I purchased a Liquid cooled 6900 XT PC for around $3,500 from Cyberpower PC. It was also defective. I just think that is something you might want to be aware of. That card was so loud my girlfriend could hear it whistling at her from down the hall in another room....she said the graphics card was so loud it was trying to flirt with her from across the house. Now onto this abomination....The PC box arrived inside a normal brown Amazon box. The PC box itself made the item looked used before I even opened the box. The top end of the box was triple taped shut. It had been opened multiple times. You could tell the box had been beaten up and passed around. The white protective wrapping over the PC had tears in it. Even the small paper insert for the CD they included was torn up. It was obviously a used PC and I paid a New PC price for it. I knew it was defective before I even turned it on....just from experience in similar situations.Oh and the graphics card foam support padding was so comically bad I had to take a picture. The foam padding wasn't even touching the graphics card. They knew the graphics card was defective when they shipped it...so who needs padding? They just hope you won't return it.I said a little prayer to God before I turned it on....knowing the odds were not in my favor. I turned it on and my room turned into a California night club with rainbows all over the walls and ceilings. I'm not a big RGB rainbow guy....but it's what the kiddos these days love...so you just have to roll with it.So the PC booted up and I was at the windows setup screen. Within 20 seconds the screen turned black and my keyboard and mouse turned off. I tried rebooting the PC multiple times but it kept going to a black screen and my keyboard and mouse not coming on....no matter which USB slot I used.I then turned off the computer to go take a break from all of the excitement of trying to get a display on my monitor. After about 15 or so minutes I came back and turned the PC on again. The monitor came up this time with tiny black lines all over the screen. I tried different cables and monitors and no matter what I did the screen continues to have black lines all over it.I was sold a defective PC that was used for a BRAND NEW PC price. You can't make this stuff up.

Same DOA GPU as Other Reviewer?
Nightmare on many levels. I must have gotten the other reviewers system. The system was purchased new but the GPU malfunctions in the identical way. Coincidence? I think not. The HDMI connection provided alternating desktop and black screen with occasional pixilation. I tried cleaning the GPU connectors and reseating. This may have helped but ultimately the GPU would fail with a maximum load. I just hate being quality control for these companies.

Arrived Damage
Didn’t even open the box, unit arrived damaged. Does not look like it was damaged by UPS, as the shipping box appears okay. When I opened the box I noticed the original box is damaged and can see and hear glass shifting around. Also seems this PC has been returned before as old shipping labels are adhered to the original box.

A great deal during the shortage!
Update May 22, 2021Replacement arrived and after updating the bios and running stability tests for 24 hours, it's still kicking. Seems like the first one was a dud. Second one had nearly identical parts, except the motherboard was a slightly different model (wifi vs AC which are nearly identical except this one uses wifi 6 instead of AC). Will update again if anything blows up! Thanks to Amazon for standing behind their sales!----------------------------------Update May 20, 2021Well... the computer lasted a whole 24 hours and now refuses to output any signal... Amazon is sending a replacement, which hopefully will resolve the issue. Sad, I was so excited about it. Downgraded way down to 1 star until this is fixed.------------------------During the current CHIPocalypse, I broke down and started looking into pre-built machines, as it was near impossible to get a GPU and CPU that I wanted. I looked at many companies, and what CyberpowerPC was offering was one of the best deals without having to go to the bigger, more proprietary companies like Dell.I was pleasantly surprised that all the hardware was from reputable manufacturers. An Asis Prime B550M-A AC mobo, Asrock Challenger Pro 6700xt, 32gb 3200mhz ram, Ryzen 5800x, 1tb WD nvme, 1 tb Seagate Hdd. Everything works like it should out of the box, and the system performs exactly as it should. The only minor complaint was the CPU cooler, which was a generic Thermaltake one. It'll get replaced by something beefier, but for now it does the job.The price paid was almost the same as MSRP for the components themselves, and CyberpowerPC built and shipped it. A great deal, and so far a happy gamer!
