MagTool 4L Aquarium CO2 Generator System Carbon Dioxide Reactor Kit with Regulator and Needle Valve (4L with Solenoid)

I had initial problems with the diffuser when i first purchased. MagTool not only reached out to me to apologize but also sent me a new diffuser of my choice! I lost my sealing rubber ring and they immediately sent me a replacement. Ive been using this kit for 4 months now and it’s worked very well. Good kit to ease into CO2 usage. Very easy to setup and use. Cant express enough how great their customer service is. I now have a 5L and the 2.5L.

El producto tuvo una falla, la válvula solenoide falló, sin embargo, el proveedor respondió de la mejor manera, comprendo que esto puede pasar, lo que verdaderamente cuenta es el tener la respuesta oportuna del vendedor, ya está funcionando Perfecto, la carga de CO2 lleva casi un mes y no ha bajado ni la mitad de la presión en una urna de 150 litros, si, lo recomiendo. Sin embargo mi queja no es con el vendedor sino con Amazon, este es el segundo feed back que mando ya que no les parece nada, aún así sea una opinión positiva del proveedor, me siento realmente tentado por este y otros detalles a cancelar mi cuenta y comprar por otras plataformas, llevan sus políticas a un nivel de exageración extremo.

So far so good but I am a little concerned with the solenoid valve running pretty hot. It took less than 10 minutes to assemble and another 10 minutes to load with (in order) 200 ml citric acid, 250 ml of baking soda and then 300 ml of water. All while being held at a 45° angle. This order and angle buys you a few seconds to get the top screwed on before the gas really starts being produced. Once closed, I lightly swirled the tank to mix the ingredients and then I sat the tank in a pan of hot tap water for a couple of hours. When I came back it was in the middle of the green and I could still faintly hear more reaction happening. When I got up in the morning the pressure had risen to the middle of the white where it stabilized. A little high but well under the red. From what I can find, the perfect mix is 1:1.312 (CA:BS). My 40 gallon aquarium has a KH level of 5 and a normal PH of 7.58. It is taking 3 BPS to get my pH below 7 and my drop checker to a nice green.

I bought one of those DIY CO2 systems with the caps you put overtop of two 2 litre bottles, and it did work well. But this system is definitely an upgrade! You don’t have to squeeze the bottle to start the reaction going, and that was sometimes a bit of a pain. With this system you just pour in all the ingredients and tighten the lid on. I saw videos saying to use ice cubes, but regular ice cubes don’t fit in. I just used cold distilled water instead and I could hear the reaction starting but I doubt I lost any significant amount of CO2. The 4L model has 3 times the capacity of my DIY unit and comes with a solinoid. I hooked up the solinoid to the timer my light was on, and that alone will make it last 3 times longer given my lights are on for 8 hours.I have been using it for 3 weeks now at 3 bubbles per second and it still has lots of pressure and my plants are growing really well. I highly recommend this unit!
