Great stable board with many modern features...but then again, I'm not (yet) overclocking the CPU or memory.
PC BUILD March 2017.Integrated with following components: MSI Pro Series Intel Z270 DDR4 HDMI USB 3 SLI ATX Motherboard (Z270 SLI PLUS); Noctua CPU Cooler [NH-U12S]; Cooler Master HAF XB EVO, HTPC Computer Case with High Airflow Design, USB 3.0 and 240mm Radiator Support (RC-902XB-KKN2), plus 2nd Noctua Fan on CPU Cooler; Intel Core i5-7600K LGA 1151 Desktop Processors (BX80677I57600K); Thermaltake Smart 700W 80+ White Continuous Power ATX 12V V2.3/EPS 12V Active PFC Power Supply PS-SPD-0700NPCWUS-W; Corsair LPX 32GB DRAM 3000MHz C15 Memory Kit for DDR4 Systems; MyDigitalSSD BPX 80mm (2280) M.2 PCI Express 3.0 x4 (PCIe Gen3 x4) NVMe MLC SSD (240GB); 2 SSD's, and CD/DVD/Bluray player. After performing a thorough pre-check (cables/cabling, connections, screws, etc.), first power-up went smoothly (which BTW it powered-up first thing w/o any issues). Firmware updates also completed w/no issues. BIOS setup was easy...no surprises, but this was first time with a Z270 MB and with MSI (in 3-5 years). Overall very happy with stability of this board.Feb2018 - firmware updates performed using latest from MSI website. Only issue is the RamDisk - this app works well, but it's become useless in that I wanted the Win10Pro to use the Ramdisk for the OS-cache...so it's a Windows issue not an MSI Ramdisk issue. If I can afford more memory (at >$300 per 32GB it's not cheap), maybe I'll use the Ramdisk app again to create a 30GB Ramdisk for certain applications that could benefit from it, but no real need now.Overall, very happy with this board, stability, reliability. MSI apps could use a little better overall programming for saving user settings (it doesn't always save them), but no real complaints. Then again, I don't overclock my CPU's or memory at this time, but it was a serious consideration when purchasing this MB.

Awesome budget board, great BIOS features
Awesome board, fully customizable and quick. Had no problem overclocking memory to 3200mHz by simply using the onboard tools. Nice touches on the memory slots and the PCIE slot for the video card, both are metal-backed. My video card can also be easily overcklocked, although I don't see the need at this time. Running dual OS, both Win 7 and Win 10 on an i7 6700t chip and loving every bit of the native Win 7 support. This board makes sense to those who aren't automatically looking to spend 2k building a computer. Mine runs well and came under 700 with PSU. I like the color combination, or I should say the non-color combo of black and white accents, I think it rocks. I recommend the Phanteks low-profile heatsink to complete the look of this one, and I'd also recommend the white Corsair LPX RAM sticks, again, to accord with the rest of the board and give it that coordinated look. Enjoy this board, I know I will!

Awesome board, features and utilities for a great price. You won't be sorry.
Love this board. I have to admit lately I have been loving MSI. I am a long time PC builder (over 25 years) and over the last few months I have use MSI's B150 PC Mate, Z170A SLI and now this Z270 SLI Plus. All have worked perfectly with absolutely no issues. Super simple BIOS updating and flawless CPU detection. Very easy to over clock and great utilities. Great Price. NOTE: The new GEN8 Intel CPU's will require a new socket. GEN7 and GEN6 no problem at all. I use a GEN6 i5-6600K (B150) and a GEN6 i7-6700K (Z170) and a GEN7 i7-7700K (Z270).

Does exactly what's needed for a great price... Solid performer from a Solid company!
It worked straight out of the box! NVMe support. If you know your way around a computer it's pretty much a plug an play Motherboard.Couple of things I do want to point out. My board came with 2 bent pins on the CPU Slot with some careful twizzering I was able to bend them back to correction. 2nd Item the Case Connects (HDDLED, power switch etc... Are not labeled... Given this is a Z270 and it's 2017 I expected them to be. I also want to point out something that MSI nor the Manual discuss and that is your Transfer rates on NVmE drives. This was a particular problem for me and took some searching as this is what I believe is a major flaw. This board has 28 Lanes... You get 16x right off the top when your using a 16x PCIe Video card... Leaving you with 12 Lanes remaining. This board does not have a dedicated lane for PCIe NVMe drives ( m.2 Drives). I had to move my M.2 drive from port 1 to port to in order to get 4x transfer rate. If you don't your stuck @ 1x which is a huge bottleneck as most of you are aware. There are no specific settings to tell which port uses which lanes only a spot that distinguishes "generation per lane" forcing Gen3 does not change transfer speed. You have to swap ports. This could be a very bad set back if you where to purchase 2 NVme Drives and Raid them your transfer rates would be cut in half. Because of this I have deduced 1 Star... I read the manual back to front word for word there is nothing in the manual regarding this issue. If you do choose to Raid... This board has BIOS RAID built in driver support... no preloading drivers necessary.I've built 50+ computers and about every 4th board I come across somehow blocks the SATA cables. There are Horizontal SATA cables and there are vertical SATA cable connections. This board has both in case you have right angle cables.

Everything works 100% except the 5ch audio.
Works great! BIOS is easy to use and has all the necessary features for overclocking and customization. Error lights help me diagnose a memory failure. The only con is the built in sound card. This is really Realtek's problem where the multichannel features don't work as expected with the provided drivers. 5ch movies and video games work great but trying to use 2ch audio sources pushes extremely fuzzy, muffled, and very quiet audio through the centre and rear speakers even with the 'Speaker Fill' option disabled. Much research tells me its Realtek's lack of care for designing proper drivers for certain audio chipsets so i'll leave it at five stars since its not MSI's fault.

Personalmente me gustó mucho.
