Used for my keyboard
I have a Keycron K2 keyboard and I used this Matt to dampen the sound. Done its job. Be warned though this matt stinks! After closing up they keyboard there is no smell but if your planning to sure it somewhere exposed to air and he smell will probably linger for quite some time.

Strong and sturdy
This rubber is high quality and very sturdy. It does a job of protecting a wood surface from a small fish tank I have. It does have a rubber smell initially but it goes once it has been aired for a few days.
