one of them started to peel off and seller supplied me with a replacement. it took a really long time to start to peel and i am pretty hard on my shoes. with seller backing their product the way they do, 5 stars.

I have an annoying habit of hyper lifting my right big toe upward when I walk resulting in holes in my right mesh-type athletic shoes. With 4 pairs of shoes having holes in that toe area I decided to give this product a try. While the adhesives are shaped for the rear heel, I simply cut pieces to work in the toe area. It is a little awkward to hold a piece while slipping to the far end of the shoe, but each piece did stick. I held the pieces for a few seconds, followed by using a blow dryer to further adhere the pieces while smoothing the frayed mesh. I then pinched the area for a few seconds and ran the blow dryer over the area again. I've worn a pair of shoes for a few hours now and don't even notice the adhesive inside the shoe, although it may be a little noticeable if you really look (see photo with mended shoe on the left). The black adhesive was fine for black, gray and navy mesh sneakers. I used the white on white mesh shoes and that was noticeable, but not as much as a nail polished toe peeking through. I am wondering how the adhesives will hold up when getting wet - think wet grass or rain. Also, the package did not come with any instructions just the adhesives. Overall, I think it's worth trying but suggest reading the instructions in the product listing.

I bought these for my “Lem’s” to try and reinforce the mesh on the shoes. What I didn’t realize they would also help was with blocking water from getting in! Of course some still does but a lot less. A little tricky to put on due to the size but it covers everything perfectly and I don’t even notice them being in the shoe.

These are a great idea since my big toenail often wears a hole in the fabric of some of my shoes. They were difficult to apply to get them in the right place without them sticking elsewhere before positioning them. One of them has not stayed stuck to the shoe but instead sticks to my sock and I put it back in place after each wear but pretty soon it will probably not stick to the shoe at all. Very helpful if you can get it to stick to the right spot in your shoe.

I’m SO happy with these easy-to-use patches! My fav ASICS Lite-show shoes are no longer available, and my husband thought my toe-peek was tacky and beneath me. I bought the white & black set and trimmed about 1/4 of a black patch. Inserted it into the toe box, stretched the mesh just a bit to cover the coin-sized hole, zapped 30 sec with a blow dryer, and voila!…new shoes! Black worked just great under the navy mesh. Now I can take these shoes to Seattle next week on vacation! Wowzer! ***Btw, instructions are not included in the product envelope, but they are clearly outlined in product description.

A waste of six dollars, it is impossible to peel off the backing inside the shoe to get it attached correctly because your hand can’t move in that space, ….and you can’t take the backing off before you slide into the shoe because it touches and grabs everywhere and turns it into a wadded mess. They need a better way to have the back be able to be removed either some piece of string that peels it off from a distance with your hand outside the foot or something there needs to be some better method for getting this attached and not sticking to everything.

The patches are easy to apply and provide a durable, reinforced barrier that sits comfortably inside the shoe without causing irritation. While they might not be as permanent as professional repair work, they are incredibly effective for the price and offer a simple, "invisible" way to keep your footwear looking fresh while stopping further wear and tear. Tip for inserting it into the shoe: use wax paper, first stick the adhesive side of the repair patch onto a piece of non-stick wax or parchment paper. Slide the paper and patch into the desired position inside the toe area without it sticking to the shoe's interior. Once aligned, firmly press the patch through the paper to secure it to the shoe lining, then simply peel away the paper.

It is very useful if your shoes are getting ripped from the toe area. Just stick and use blow dryer for a few minutes and you are good to go.

Perfect for a toe hole in a running shoe.

These patches do not hold for long on your shoe. I used a hair dryer for the application as shown in the images of the product page on Amazon. I used them to patch fabric holes on the heels of my running shoes and they started coming off after a few weeks. The adhesive needs to be better.
