Potato
Good quality, sturdy and do a good job on potato and many other crispy fruits or vegetables. It comes with different sizes of cutter so you can switch to the size you like. It is not easy to cut hard stuff like sweet potato but it is strong enough that you won't worry to break the handle when you press hard. Reason for give it 4 stars is because it does not come with the suction cups which you can buy optional. It tilt or moves if you press hard on the handle.

Love this cutter!!
This thing is awesome! We do fish fries and easily go through 30+ pounds of potatoes andThis thing makes cutting French fries quick and easy. It also has died for apple wedges including coring, three sizes of fry cuts and at least one other. It is made well and sturdy. We've had it for more than a year and no problems still works like a charm!

A steal for a $250 commercial, restaurant quality french fry cutter.
This is a heavy-duty, $250 commercial, restaurant french fry cutter. It comes with blades I will use most 1/2", 3/8" and 1/4". This probably the best deal on Amazon.comThin french fries have more calories than the same amount of thick fries, because thin fries have more surface area per unit volume. Therefore more oil adheres to thin fries than thick fries. It probably makes sense to grease the rails. You probably need to fasten the cutter to a wall, a board, or use suction cups.sold for it.You need a very tiny screw driver to remove two very tiny horseshoe retaining clips. The only assembly required is attaching the handle. This entails removing two horseshoe clips, removing two pins, placing the handle in place, replacing the pins, then replacing the horseshoe retaining clips. The productg does not come with an instruction manual. I don't think one is needed. No explanation should be needed how to assemble it or use it.I used the small flat head driver from my miniature Kilein screwdriver set. You need a screwdriver to change the plastic molded pusher that pushes potatoes through the holes in the cutting disk. The blades are sharp, but it probably takes a good amount of strength to use. Many females might have a problem using the cutter.

Awesome product. Very heavy duty
Awesome product. Very heavy duty. Looks like it will last a lifetime. 4 blades, should do just about anything. I read some reviews about the effort needed to make fries. Maybe for a small elderly woman but I see no reason why everyone else would have a problem. Very little assembly required and easy to assemble as well in my opinion. Here is the most important point that no one has brought up - Just spray the cutting blades with vegetable and the potato will slide right through the cutting blades. I actually own a cheap one make mostly of hard plastic and it also does the job when I spray the cutting blades with oil. You don't have to buy Pam, you can buy a pump up sprayer for around 10 bucks in most grocery stores, department stores and on Amazon. This is a super heavy duty product. A little bulky, but again it is not going to break or wear out on you. You can't go wrong with this one.

No instructions or warranty, but did receive follow up from seller.
This product wasn't what I ordered-- the one I received said it was from "Stark", but that's not what's shown in the picture here. On the Stark website, they don't show a potato cutter, so it doesn't look as if they legitimately make one. There were no instructions on how to put it together, no warrantee, no information at all. Buyer Beware!P.S. I did contact TZSeller, who shipped this. They responded very rapidly, and very nicely offered to take it back or resolve the issue for us. They also said they will remove this item from their listing, since the picture had been changed on the site. I appreciate their fast response.

This product did not work for us until we followed the advice of another reviewer. It must be bolted or secured well on a sturdy wall or stud and placed vertically so that the handle comes down onto the vegetable when cutting. We also changed out the size of the french fry cutting grid for a larger size. I would not have thought it would make that much difference, but it did. The picture should be changed so as not to mislead the buyer although there may be someone out there who can use it as pictured. I am well pleased with how the company dealt with us.

Start cutting
Love it heavy don't look feel like it will break anytime soon, It is hard to make shoestring fries with a large long potato I don't think it would be if it was bolted down but I have no place to do that I hope the feet I ordered for it will do the job if not I will just use Smaller potato's. I say buy it if you want one that will last the extra cutters is nice also. Up Date 11/29/13 Save your money on feet don't make it work any better. I am going to have to find some place to bolt mined down my garage is the only place I have, just hate to have to go out there to cut my fry's.

No invoice, no manual, no parts list, no warranty
No invoice, no manual, no parts list and no warranty in the box. Can't find a manufacturer's name or model number on it, so I don't know how I could search the web for a manual or parts list.Comes without rubber feet (which I knew when I bought it; I ordered those separately). Without feet, I don't see how it could be used without permanently mounting it with bolts.I haven't used it yet, because it comes partly disassembled and I have to find a pair of snap ring pliers to put it together. Snap ring pliers aren't found in your average homeowner's kitchen drawer.
