Love this idea but now she scratches next to this! At least it covers where she’s worn out the chair! 🤗

I bought this to stop my cat from clawing up set things in the house this didn’t fit over the poles as I had hoped but I did end up finding a great place for it. You could also use to put this on a cat house if you have one that doesn’t have a scratch part on it.

It does wrap nicely around the corner of the chair our cat likes to scratch. The only drawback is it does not have a backing to prevent him clawing through to the chair fabric. We ended up putting it over the top of the old scratcher pad and works fine that way.

Strong velcro. Real, thick sisal fabric and not the braided rope that's bad for their claws. If you have a large cat, you'll need to wrap it on something up higher for them to stretch up and scratch. I just tacked mine to the wall, since he loves tearing up doorframes. The arm or side of a couch would be good too. It's a decent size to cut into strips if your cat enjoys clawing at specific corners or small area. If they're disinterested at first (as cats always are when you've spent money on them lol) just sprinkle some catnip into the fabric.

I purchased one of these about 2 years ago. It has velcro on all around one side of the mat and is still affixed to my couch today.I attempted to purchase another and either received a counterfeit item or the quality has declined. The pad was clearly more thin and there was a single strip of velcro on each side of the mat...so it was completely unable to be used. I did receive refunds for each item (I bought it twice) but I wish I could get a replica of the old version.

I had bought one very a similar to this one, maybe even the same manufacturer, but this one was NOT sewn well. The Velcro pieces did not align well so it was always loose. It is only today that I finally had the time to compare the old with this one. Regret not finding the time to compare them earlier to replace for one that works. There are only 2 out of 4 edges with the hook part of Velcro on the inside, and which is what grabs onto the loop side of the Velcro, and that was missing on one of the edges of the outside as you wrap it around something. I did as poor a job as the manufacturing inspector did :(

Would definitely be better if the velcro actually was on all 4 sides to attach to my couch. But I figured out how to make it work for me. Definitely not as sturdy as the pictures show, as I can see through the mat. If it protects my couches though I will take it.
