Really cute bowls for my new kitten. They arrived on-time, well-packaged and exactly as described. Keep in mind that they only hold 8 oz, which is perfect for a small kitten/cat but might not be large enough for the bigger ones. I'm using them for water & dry kitten food now, but will likely have to switch to using them for only wet food in the future, unless I want to have to refill it daily. 8 oz. of water isn't much, and it's easy to spill it when you are filling it to the top. I'll make these work for something in the future, since they are adorable (I got the green/purple combo), and the rubber on the bottom keeps them from sliding on the floor.UPDATED REVIEW - Loved these at first, but after a couple of months of use (and I only use one bowl a day, alternating between the two), the paint on the side started chipping off (see photo), even though they were always hand-washed. They look pretty ugly now, plus I would worry that my young cat might accidentally ingest some of the paint.

Excellent and attractive cat food bowls. One of our cats had trouble eating out of our previous bowls, which were a bit too deep for him. No problem with these bowls which are shallower with nice rounded edges. We got four dishes, and they stack nicely for storage. The bowls seem sturdy and well built. I think these are a very good bargain and we are very satisfied with them.

So I got my 2nd cat last week, after finding him outside. He was shot and was badly wounded. Once he pulled through, I needed some bowls for him, so that he wasn't sharing with my older cat. I bought these. They are so nice! They are stainless steel, and they have a little non skid ring on them. They are shallow enough that he doesn't brush his whiskers on the sides while he eats, but deep enough to hold plenty of food. If you're looking for cat dishes, you can't go wrong with these!

Happy Kitty. Better than plastic, good stainless steel to keep the water clean. Nice and low so she has easy access and the non-slip bottom works well too. The rubber removes easily for the dishwasher and slips right back on.I like that they're smaller too because it encourages her lazy daddy to clean and refill her bowl more often. :-p

Was concerned about reviews saying that they were too small... they may be small for dogs but perfect size for cats, that need more shallow bowls so that their whiskers are not rubbing the side of deeper dishes. Very happy with purchase and actually ordered two more.

These are cute metal bowls with a rubber rim on the bottom to keep them from slipping. The problem is that each bowl only holds 4oz, which is a very small amount. The description says 8 oz, but it's only 4oz each. The next issue is that the metal bowl "sweats" when you put water in it, so it leaves water on the floor under the bowl. These two issues make it hard to use these cute bowls.

These are definitely functional bowls. They hold food or water, maybe both if you’re feeling wild… you know, bowl stuff. Heck, they’d probably hold other things too, sand, marbles, a wad of keys, orbrees. Probably not great for holding a hard shell taco or other hard awkward shaped items; I can’t imagine why you’d use a bowl for that purpose, but you never know, people are weird.

These are cute, but they are very shallow. I got these to use for my outdoor cats, but the water evaporates extremely quickly. As food dishes, they are great. As a water dish for indoor cats, they would probably be just fine.On the plus side, the cats and other outdoor critters have not been able to flip these. The best they can do is scoot them around a little bit. If they were on a grippier or more textured surface, they would likely scoot less. I have them on smooth concrete, where there is not much for the rubber bottom to resist against.These are plenty good enough that I'll keep using them, but I don't highly recommend them if you plan on a water dish for outside. Otherwise, I say go for it!

One thing I noticed with this particular set of bowls is how easily the 'cat' markings on the bowl seem to wipe off just by rubbing your thumb against them. As such, those markings easily replace the old task of scrubbing stickers off the bowls. While these bowls are decent in price, I'd highly recommend giving them a good scrub on the outside first just to make sure any loose paint is removed.
