Really nice, really quiet and really easy on your hair!
I no longer have little kids in my home (all grown up) BUT this hair dryer would be brilliant for a kid to learn how to dry their own hair. Of course you would still need to keep an eye on things, but you could hook this up next to Mom or Dad's dryer and your child could do their own blowdry. Now also, this is a great dryer for delicate skin/scalp or simply for those of us who know that too much heat and too much power is not good for your scalp or your hair. This little dryer gently dries my hair, doesn't overheat my scalp and is super super quiet. I think it is a gentle but really great little dryer. Good for travel too!

Low and high power
The low power setting apparently just puts a rectifier in series which puts a big DC bias on the mains of the house. This can saturate transformers and motors, making them growl. This stops when the hair frier is put on high.

As advertised
This hair dryer is perfect for use with children and those with very fine hair. I was hoping to find a hair dryer with lower wattage and drain on electrical system for use in our travel trailer (RV). It is less than perfect for that usage - it takes double the time to dry my not-very-thick hair!

Awesome hairdryer for thin fine hair
I used a Conair hairdryer for so many years. They had a model I got at Walgreen’s that was not too powerful. I tried 3 other hairdryers before this one and they had too much blow power (1875W). If you used the lower speed (not the cool air button) it was still too much blow power and NO heat. When you have fine hair you need a lower blow power WITH heat to give your hair body. This 500W dryer works like my old Conair hair dryers used to work. I now have the body back when using my styling products that also give me volume. No more curling hair to get volume hairdryer took away.

The perfect dryer for my art studio ‘n
This dryer is light weight, has a cool button and blows just the right speed so it won’t blow the paint and paper off the table !!!I am so pleased with it !

Great for kids only
If you want to teach your child how to blow dry their own hair this is perfect. It's not loud but if they have long hair it will take a bit.

No Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) Very Dangerous
This hair dryer does NOT have a GFCI block/toggle on the cord. No safety plug! Since 1991 all hair dryers must have a ground fault circuit interrupter. Bad for adults, but for kids is absolutely unacceptable!
