Can you put them in the washer?

Why would you put it in the washer? Simpy lay it out on the porch or driveway and hose it down. Let dry in the sun. By the way, it works great at catching most of the litter when the cat leaves the cat pan. I just take the broom and sweep the mat off.

Does this mat work with litter pellets?

I used the Arm and Hammer fine clumping litter, and kitty always managed to get some of it on the floor surrounding the mat. However, it will cut down on cleaning up if you lift the corners of the mat diagonally and shake it out. There will be some residual litter to sweep up, but not near as much as before. I've never used pellets, so I can't speak to those.

Can you use this for a dirty doorway I have dogs coming in and out of my door which brings in so much dirt and water
