It's quieter, smaller footprint and is gentler on implants than (other guy) *by on Reviewed in the United States January 26, 2025* I had all on 4 dental implants and ClearChoice gave me the more commonly known water pick brand device and while I appreciated they provided that as a part of their service, I was not sad when it broke in a month. It was pretty cheaply constructed, a fat footprint, extremely loud and vibrating hard on my counter and the design is so much nicer with the off switch on the magnetic wand (the magnet holds it in place, which seems cleaner somehow, since its only touching the back).This one was only a bit more expensive, and not by much, assuming they paid what I saw on Amazon when I went to order one and found this.Some people complained that the power supply is external and too large, but where my plug lands, it doesn't matter to me, and I love the smaller footprint on my counter.I had implants and a really rough recovery with slowly healing dry socket and hole into sinuses and depend a lot on the water pick to avoid infections. Called warranty and they sent a new one which began losing pressure and barely worked by the end of the year. By month 11 I purchased a new one and the water tube that comes from the reservoir came out of the handle within 3 months so it was unusable. Called warranty today to replace my model 5000 and they apologized and said they only had a model 3000 cordless when I had a model 5000 corded. The rep said it was an "upgrade" and they did not know when they would have any model 5000's in stock. Of course there are thousands for sale on Amazon, but I guess their stock is just refurbished units, otherwise they would send me a new one. So, that's 3 failed flossers in 14 months and I'm waiting for warranty to send me my fourth one which is a downgrade. Keep in mind they will ask for the old one back, I wonder if they are refurbishing them and sending them back to customers as warranty replacement which explains why they keep failing over and over. What a callosal waste of money and time. It's on Reddit, here on Amazon reviews, and anywhere else people leave reviews, Philipps is poor quality and will not last. People getting a replacement from warranty which also fails. save your money.
