Suavecito Pomade Firme (Strong) Hold 4 oz, 1 Pack - Pomade For Men - Medium Shine Water Based Wax Like Flake Free Hair Gel - Easy To Wash Out - All Day Hold For All Hair Styles

I finally got around to trying this. After TONS of research a few years ago, it was between this and Imperial Barber Classic High Hold Pomade for a high hold, low weight, water based pomade. This is almost identical to that product, which I really like as well. But both have just a few small things holding them back from being absolutely perfect products, but both are for sure THE BEST if you're looking for a pomade that is super light weight, is high hold, and washes out super easy with water. The only difference between this and Imperial is the hold level, crunchy level, and smell. Which are minimal between the two. Either one is incredible and you can't go wrong! Suavecito is: - High hold 9/10 - Has the slightest bit of hard/crunch like gel, but virtually none 1/10 - Has a very nice low sheen look. It's not dry and matte like some high products, and it's not glossy looking either. I'd say if matte is 1 on a scale of 1-5 and high gloss is 5, this is a 2 out of 5. It's perfect. It basically looks like you just washed and conditioned your hair. A very nice natural sheen, and nothing fake looking. And if you use more than normal, you can get that slicked down look for greaser hairstyles or a nice combed formal look - Extremely easy to get out of container and work through your hair. It does have a sort of "short" work time though, just like Imperial High Hold Pomade. Once you get it out, you just rub it around all over your hands to spread it out really well, then work into hair. You don't need to rub it for 20-40 seconds and get it "warm" like some other fibers or clays. Very easy to work into hair, and within mins your hairstyle is held in place how you styled it. Almost like a gel or hairspray, but MUCH more natural looking - Holds most of the day as long as you don't mess around with your hair all day - Strong smell that can compete with your cologne/fragrance for the first few hours (it smells incredible though, very manly) - Very light weight and washes out super fast with just a tiny bit of water. This is a HUGE feature that makes this better than almost all other products - Moderate ability to get some nice texture/separation in your hair, not as good as a really good texturizing clay, but much better than most other hair products Imperial is: - High Hold 9.5/10 - Is slightly hard/crunchy like gel, but not too much 2/10 - Has a nice low/medium sheen look. Ever so silghtly more than Suavecito. So if you prefer a slightly more formal or finished look, this is a bit better for that look then Sauvecito. But really both are so close, it's splitting hairs. Been using this stuff for years, all day long hold, super slick look. Best applied to slightly damp hair, warm it up by rubbing in your hands. Work it in really well into your hair and then style with your comb. The thing I like the most about Sauvecito it the smell! The fragrance is just great, lasts just as long as the hold

I have used multiple kinds of gel, this one holds really good, compare to the one i currently have which is better when my hair is a little longer, but for comb over short this is better, the smells isn't that bad either i would definitely buy again

Been reading reviews about this pomade around the web. Many reviews were positive, but the reoccurring theme was the scent. I was either gonna love it or hate it. I got my jar in the mail yesterday. Smelling it in the jar, the scent isn't bad. However, once it was in my hair, that is when it's REALLY noticeable. To me and people around me. It was like I coated my hair in cologne. Everywhere I went the scent was apparent to me. The scent faded as the day went on but, it just wasn't for me. As for the pomade itself, it works really easily into the hair. The hold is great, my hair barely moved through out the day. Although when it came time to exercise and I worked up a sweat, the hold started to let go, which I expected. It also washed out very easily. My only critique is that it dries a bit quick and it does leave the hair feeling a bit stiff, but nothing like gel would. The reviews were right, it is a good pomade but the scent is either going to make or break it for you. Suavecito does make an unscented firme version (which I wish I saw sooner). I ordered a jar of that. Even though it is a waste of $12 (cause I won't be using it again), it is a good pomade, if you like the scent.

My husband’s favorite. He is not a “product” kind of guy either, he’s pretty much the most basic dude on earth. His old barber recommended this stuff 5 years ago and the rest is history. He has tried other similar brands but this is the only one that lasts all day because of his thick hair. It’s a nice smell and easy to use.

My hair stays in place the entire day when I use this pomade. The product advertises medium shine, but for me, I don't see it. Not a deal breaker at all. It does make the hair strong in certain sections of my head and in others, not so much. I don't understand that one either. I guess it is just the way my hair reacts to the chemical, which by the way, no stickiness involved; major plus there. I have been purchasing this pomade for years now and I don't intend to stop anytime soon; highly recommended!!
