I bought this lunchbox for an unusual use- I'm disabled and take many medications so I purchased this to neatly store my many bottles (of vitamins and medications) out of sight. I was so sick of seeing my big Ziploc bag full of pill bottles! Plus when I traveled somewhere overnight I hated carrying that Ziploc bag in my luggage.In contrast, this works so much better and is so much more visually appealing. When I travel no one knows what is inside it. Plus, the handle on this lunchbox makes it much easier to carry than a Ziploc bag. The zippers make it easy to open and retrieve only the particular medication that I am looking for.... instead of having to dig through or dump out that hideous ziplock bag! It is high-quality, very well made, and did not have any odor- and I am extremely sensitive to smells! the zippers are extremely sturdy - they have held up beautifully so far and I have no doubt they will hold up well over time. However, if they do not - or if anything else goes wrong- as always, I will update this review.BOTTOM LINE: definitely recommended. I'm sure it will work beautifully as a lunch bags, as well.

We have 3 and love these lunch boxes. My children have used them as early as Kindergarten with no issues. They wipe off easily and dry quickly. Plus, machine washable and come out looking new! The first one I ordered is on it's 3rd year and overall still in great shape--though the thread holding the trim just started to pull off so it needs a quick repair. I was concerned that lunches would not stay cold, but we use a flat, square ice pack and it easily keeps the food cold through the lunch hour (if not the full school day). Packing takes some getting used to (We zip up 2 sides and then stack everything in or zip up all four about half way and place everything inside), but it really does stretch! I purchased some 5 ounce water bottles to fill with drinks and Capri Suns fit perfectly. However, you can also put a sandwich container sideways to give the water bottle more room. When I do that, I put the container on it's edge, the ice pack on edge next to it, and slide a 12 oz. water bottle in next to that. Then I'm able to fit 1-2 cups of fruit and/or veggies, and a yogurt container.

We've put it to the test and it's still going strong, which is more than I can say for other lunch boxes we've bought. It's such a great design, and such great quality. it lays totally flat for storage ( I hang mine), and washes clean in our washer. Folds up super cute and contains whatever we pack for our child. It's held up well through kinder and first grade, and will be using it for second grade as well. By far longer than any other box we own. We get compliments one this anywhere we take it and many adult friends and family have bought it, works great for anyone.PROS:Quality, super durableVersatile: contains whatever you put in itCLEAN: washes in a washer and we have washed this over kinder and 1st grade, still looks brand newFLAT for storage, I can hang it or lay it in any drawer, takes very little space, super convenientCONS: Wish there were more color options.

We bought three of these a month ago. I've washed them twice, which was wonderful to be able to do that. You have to do a cold cycle, but they get clean. My children like the look of them and have had compliments from students and staff at the school. I pack a waterbottle, sandwich and two snacks and sometimes silverware, no problems space wise. The materials seem sturdy. I put 4 stars because I've only owned this a month and am waiting to see how they hold up. I admit I am skeptical, because I haven't had good luck with products lasting. For 20 bucks a lunchbox, I'd want these to last all through elementary school and beyond.Also, there is a neoprene smell. I was worried it would make the food smell but the kids say it doesn't affect the food. The smell has decreased with the washings.

We bought these in anticipation of my daughter returning to school in person and wanting to keep her safe. The fold out as a placemat is perfect for keeping her lunch off the table and her food contained in her space. Lots of questions from other kids and parents as to where we got these. Easy to use for my 7 year old, no issues with zippers.

We've gone through many lunch boxes and backpacks because they fall apart so easily. This lunch box has lots to love. LOVE that it's so easy to throw in the washer and it comes so nice and clean it's almost new. LOVE the durability. It's lasted a full summer of camp and is still going strong ready to tackle the school year. LOVE the shape because it fits a water bottle, lunch and a small ice pack just perfectly. LOVE how easy it is for elementary school aged kids to carry it and stuff it in their backpack. LOVE that it's a placemat because kids will eat anywhere and everywhere especially at camp and on road trips. LOVE that kids think it's cool and it doesn't have a licensed character on it. I love it so much I'm going to buy one for myself for work. LOVE how sturdy it is from the zipper to the stitching to the fabric.

We gave this to my daughter for Christmas to replace her tattered old lunchbox. We have previously tried Bentgo and it just didn't work for us. She absolutely loves her flatbox and couldn't wait for winter break to be over to show it off to her friends. She is 6 and manages the zippers without any issues, but I wouldn't recommend for a child younger than 5 as they do involve a fair bit of hand strength and coordination. The space inside the box is not huge, but it accommodates a sandwich, yogurt, ice pack, fruit and small treat. We pack a water bottle separately. It's been several weeks and she is still enthralled!
