Pretty in Pink!
This is really easy to apply. It dries very quickly. I put one coat on and within a minute or so it dried. I was able to paint my own hands with the applicator. I didn't even need to put on a topcoat. With one coat though, it will peel easily. I plan on painting a couple more times and then applying the topcoat that comes with it. This is a nice sheer pink color. It is reasonably priced. I plan on saving money by painting my own nails instead of going to the salon!

Long lasting with easy removal!
I bought the gel couture kit with Fairy Tailor. It came quickly. This was my first time using Essie polish. I love this polish! I type all day and this holds up better than gel for me. It lasts 3 to 4 weeks for me with no chipping. My problem is the nail grows and I have a gap between the polish and cuticle. I am very hard on my nails and it lasts long. Also comes off easily with nail polish remover. I use remover with acetone.

My favorite top coat.
My favorite top coat to use. I double layer it to get the thickness I want, and my nail polish will last 2 weeks. A few times, I triple layered it and my polish lasted 3 weeks! And I don't baby my nails; I use them, roughhouse with my dogs, garden, play sports, etc., and they've held up. I find that they also make my nails dry a bit faster.I've used another popular brand of overcoat, but I find that it was more prone to bubbles. Essie doesn't have that issue. Highly recommend if you want close to a gel look and longevity.

The Absolute BEST Long Wearing Polish! 10 Stars!
For the first time in my life, I've found a brand that's actually longwearing! I love having polished nails but have opted for bare nails since the polish I've purchased (many brands over the years) chips within a day and requires repeated touch ups. Essie is the answer! If you follow the directions and use Step 1 Gel Couture for base and second coats and Step 2 Gel Couture Top Coat, the polish will last for days to a week. So excited to be able to wear polish all the time now! :)

Dries super fast!
I’m glad I got to try this Essie Gel Couture nail polish in Fairy Taylor. Color is milky light pink. It is not opaque, it’s more French manicure look. It took a few times to get used to it not to overwork it while applying. Less strokes is better, because if I continued doing more strokes the polish started to “tangle” and got messy. So, try not to rush, but do it quickly enough, so it doesn’t start to dry while applying it. When I did it first time, it came out a little streaky since I was rushing it a bit. Here, I did 2 layers here and 3rd layer is a topcoat. Topcoat gives a nice shine, similar to real gel. I like the nice and clean look.I am also pleasantly surprised how quickly this polish dries, so that is definitely a big plus. It dries within 10 mins (to the touch) and it’s fully dry within an hour. The only downside is it only lasts 3-4 days before it starts chipping. I am typically careful with my hands and use gloves. I typically wear this polish in this color for about 5 days before I take if off.It comes off easily with acetone free nail polish remover.

Self-leveling and shiny
Used another brand's bottom coat (cause I have it already and want to use it), 1 coat of Essie nail polish, and 1 coat of this "gel couture" top coat. It is very self-leveling and smooth. It takes awhile to dry, which is fine with me. Kept its shine for a few days and never chipped -was shiny after that too, just not like new. It never started peeling up from the bottom either. I removed all of it with ordinary nail polish remover when I wanted it off. My nail color wore away from the tip a tiny bit after several days; I could have filed them and applied another layer of top coat if I wanted to refresh it, but it still looked good enough to me so I didn't bother. Something that really helps is to apply the nail color and top coat to the edge of the nail, not just across the top. I use q-tips and nail polish remover after the color has dried to clean up around my nails where I went astray, before I apply the top coat. Lasts a lot longer if you do this. Just applying the top coat to the edge might be good enough, but haven't tried it. Happy w/ it.
