Although this bamboo bench is designed so it can be used in a shower, I did not get it for that. I needed a small, sturdy bench to put in a narrow corner of my bathroom, so I could put my foot up on it *after* a shower, for example to dry between my toes (which my Mom told me always to do :) ). It's materials and construction should ensure that it doesn't deteriorate or be difficult to clean like a cloth covered bench or stool would. The shelf underneath the top is a bonus for my application.The bench when together pretty easily, as claimed, requiring less than 15 minutes for me to assemble it. There are 16 allen-head screws that go into precision drilled and countersunk holes. Assembly would have been even faster if I used an electric screwdriver with the corresponding allen-head bit instead of the included allen wrench. The short end of the allen wrench actually has a Phillips tip to be used with the four small screws that attach non-slip feet to the bench's legs. That tip is actually a little small (about a #1), so I suggest you use your own #2 Phillips screwdriver for those to avoid stripping the screw heads.The bamboo wood in this bench feels very sturdy and has a nice finish. I expect it to last a lot longer than my previous bench/stool, which had an open top covered with cloth that eventually tore and was getting pretty grubby looking as well.

I just purchased my second. I do not use in shower, but one is used in the bathroom for a bit of storage and as a bench. Very sturdy as a bench for seating or anything else that you wish to put on this. I also use this in my camping trailer for most anything I need it to be a seat and storage. I can place anything I need on it as a temporary bench/table. Easy to put together, rather lightweight for moving/handling and neutral color goes with most anything for a modern look.

Seems ok at first. Simple enough to assemble. But the slightest weight (I only rolled 2 normal sized bath towels) set on it and the darn thing collapsed and the long nails ripped right through the wood. Very flimsy. And of course it broke outside of the return window, so I ended up eating the cost of this defective junk and throwing it away.

I bought this for my shower to hold body washes and shampoo. It looks so good that I would use it in other places both inside and outside my home. It was very easy to assemble with the exception of one hole that was not fully drilled. I fixed that easily. It is stronger and bigger than I expected.

Great little bench for my new shower. It is sturdy and a very nice size/height. Easy to assemble. The only improvement needed is non-slip feet. This is really important for an older person. I am able to position it in the corner of the shower so when I place my foot on it to shave my legs, it is stopped from moving by the shower wall. But, a person using it as a seat may need to get something to keep it in place while using. Over all, I’m very happy with my purchase and it is working quite well for me.

I'm using this as a plant stand. It's sturdy and holds my plant up.The good - it comes with all hardware needed and a small allen wrench to put it together. Even came with an extra screw.The bad - splinters. The allen wrench was too long to screw in eight of the long screws. It made it awkward to put the top on. I eventually just didn't screw in 4 screws because I couldn't get them to bite into the wood. Luckily the stand is sturdy enough without them.If it weren't for the splinters, this would be a 4 star product.

This is definitely a great purchase. Lovely little table for the bathroom
