Kid-agami -- Jungle Animals: Kirigami for Kids: Easy-to-Make Paper Toys Paperback – November 19, 2014

My 5-year old daughter loves these books. She spends hours carefully cutting out all the animals, and they are pretty cute when they are done. Definitely a good thing to have on hand for a rainy afternoon. It will easily keep them occupied for at least a few hours, depending on how good they are with the scissors. And then I like that when she grows bored of them, I can just recycle it! She hasn't grown bored of hers yet, but at least it will be easy to discard guilt-free when she does.

My 7-yr.-old grand daughter and I completed the dinosaur book and she begged for more! I finally found this and it's great also. As for the folding, once you get the idea-- easy peasy! Cutting out is another matter. I did the cutting, as it was too tricky for her. There were about a dozen creatures and the difficulty level goes up with each new page. If you're up for that project, you'll have lots of fun while learning. I would recommend for 6 years (with help) and up.
