iCarsoftVOL V3.0 for Volvo/Saab Diagnostic Tool with auto VIN/Quick Test/Actuation Test

I bought this to help with automatic transmission fluid flush and level set. For that procedure it can read the trans/gearbox oil temp but does not have a function to reset the fluid change "counter", which from my understanding of that seems minor for a flush anyway. It does appear to support resetting transmission adaptations along with a long list of other functions, though I didn't perform anything yet. I can already see myself using this for routine maintenance like changing the oil, battery, and rear brake pads.

I have a 2016 XC90 T6 Inscription and the only thing that worked was to clear an error message. ALL functions under the SERVICE feature do NOT work as it does not recognize a modern Volvo XC90 starting with a 2016 year model.I tried to seek the help of their technical support but after sending them the log files as they have requested, I never heard from them anymore. So I had this returned.I gave them a 2-star rating only because of how quick Amazon refunded my payment.

This scanner is incredibly well built. The ppl who wrote bad reviews didn't use it right.1. Familiarize yourself with the book but follow the prompts on the bottom of the screen! That's where others failed. The vender gave Quite adequate support. they can't operate the machine for you. From a 1000 miles away, you have to use common sense and follow the prompts on the screen. After you've familiarized yourself with the book. I would've kept this machine but it was not quite what we needed. How is disappointed that it wasn't something that we could use. We thank the manufacturer for building a great machine. I wish it was what we needed :'-( EZ to use, my gosh I cant understand ppl who couldn't figure out how to use this?Instant performance fantastic value for the money that can't be understated......and it is a very high quality piece of equipment Get one and you'll see.

This scanner does not work with SPA Volvo's! The description says it would support a 2016 XC90, but any service function that I would try to use - i.e. Oil light reset, EBP, Battery - it would say that it is not compatible. Waste of money and time!

Unit works ok for what it is but it won't upgrade (errors) and there is no support from the vendor. It was a mistake to buy this unit. I know better now. iCarsoft does not appear to be a company that have resources to help their clients.
