this device is durable and a solid performer. I like it so much I bought two. the blue tooth capability is a very nice feature. loading the app and using two devices at once give four channels of temperature control on my phone.

I bought this to replace an old Redi-Chek wireless thermometer system that I've had for about ten years. I love how this one connects to my wifi network instead of to an additional unit through bluetooth. I'm generally on the opposite side of my house from where my grill is, so being able to use the range of my wifi network to monitor temperatures is awesome. Another feature I really appreciate is how the app plots the temperature on a graph, so not only can I see what the current temperature is, I can see how the temperature has been trending for the entire cooking session. I cooked a few racks of ribs on my smoker shortly after getting this device and it worked very well. My only concern is that it has a built-in battery that has to be charged. I would much prefer it just had replaceable batteries like you can buy anywhere.

I bought a few other wifi temp probes. The issue I was running into was the battery wouldn't last longer than 16 hours which is a problem when I'm doing briskets and holding overnight. Happy to report that this things battery lasted 40 hours on a single charge. The app is easy to use, and the temperature readings are fairly accurate.

I bought this product in 2021. I have used it probably 5-10 times per year since then. Overall it has worked well but I feel I need to leave a review now as I have a serious issue with it. Govee has been making changes to the app over the years, as you would expect, most have been fine, but their latest version of the app has made the product pretty much useless. They have tried to make "easier" to use by forcing you to just select the type of meat etc... but this allows for no flexiblity in having a probe to track the grill temp above 212 degrees, so I cannot set any target temps above 212. You also cannot edit your target temps once you start cooking. The app is non responsive now when trying to make any changes it just spins. I believe their QA testing was seriously skipped on this last version. One of my probes stopped working a couple years ago so I only have 3 now but I can live with that. A bad app makes the device useless. I will be manually tracking this cook and if the app is not improved I will need to replce this unit with another manufacturer.

I use this on my smoker all the time, and it’s been great. The app is easy to use and lets you set temperature alerts, timers, and alarms, so you don’t have to constantly check your food. Since it connects to Wi-Fi, you can monitor your temperatures from anywhere you have an internet connection—even if you’re not home. I also like that the app includes recommended temperatures for different cuts of meat, which is really convenient, especially if you’re trying something new. The only downside is that the probe wires can be a little difficult to clean after a long cook. Overall, it’s a reliable thermometer, and I’d definitely recommend it for grilling or smoking.

Perfect to use on the Smoker! To have a unit that can be used on multiple different meats works awesome.

Brand: Govee I've used other Govee stuff and it always seems to work reliably and as expected. This wifi smoker/grill thermometer is no exception. I used to have a GrillEye which was always kludgy and, not surprisingly, they no longer exist. So, it was time for a replacement. This is doing everything that the super expensive bird brand is doing but for a lot less and I didn't even have to install an app since I have other Govee stuff. Displays 4 probes temps simultaneously and sticks to the side of my Traeger hopper box so I can easily keep it out of the desert sun. It set up quickly and is super easy to use. Maybe the best thing of all - two additional new Govee brand probes were around $15 ($7.50 each, and of course this might go up over time) - my old GrillEye was soaking me every time I needed a new probe, around $30 each. I like to leave one mounted to the grill in the smoker so I can see and track the accuracy of the "smoker" temp on my phone as well so I wanted a spare one since that's a pretty rough life for a probe. I really appreciated the replacement probes being priced reasonably.

I really like this Govee product as it integrated easily with the app I use with several other Govee products. I have used one and two probes so far and find it has greatly improved my grilling and oven cooking.
