I love BBQ with my old Traeger Grill but I needed a new igniter. This was a combo replacement 200 Watt Igniter and Burn Pot. Exactly what I needed as igniters do burn out sometimes, and this was a great fit. After installing the burn can and hot rod I was pleased. I used it twice with no problems. Went to use it a third time and the hot rod will not get the pellets started. Had to manually light the pellets. Product delivered 12 days ago. Didn't last long

This "MENSI Fire Burn Pot and 120Volt Hot Rod Igniter Replacement Kit" fits and works on my Pit Boss 1000XL, and I think it would work for other Pit Boss pellet grill/smoker too. Once you get the burn pot physically in, and the wiring routed to the controller compartment (underneath the pellets reservoir ), the wire connection is "plug and play", and that's nice.The real trick of the installation is that you should tape a guide-wire to the original ignitor plug/connector when you are uninstalling it, and then use that guide-wire to pull the new ignitor plug/connector from the grill side back into the controller compartment. If you don't do this, it is quite difficult to get the new plug/connector in place. Make sure that the rubber grommet between the grill compartment and the controller compartment is back in place too.If your igniter is not working, that is likely to be the only part you would need to replace. Most of the time, the burn pot is fine, and do not need replacement. I did both just because I messed with my original burn pot a bit previously (drilling more vent holes on it) and I want to bring it back to "original".The overall quality of this burner pot and the igniter is OK, but maybe a little bit less quality than OEM Pit Boss parts. They do fit and the igniter do work tho. I purchased this burn pot and ignitor for my Pit Boss KC Combo grill, as the ignitor stopped working. These parts were a direct replacement and were easy to install. The screws to hold in the burn pot was a nice addition as the originals were completely rusted out.I have had this installed and used 3x or more a week for about 2 months and it is still working well.One not in install is that on my BBQ to replace the ignitor was a bit of a pain as you had to remove the bottom cover under the hopper to access the plug. You then needed to release the set screw in the burn pot so it could be pulled back. Finally, I ended up having to cut the wire on the old ignitor because the way the wires were run you could not get the ignitor out unless you removed a bunch of other wires or cut it.Overall, 5* rating because it was a direct replacement and worked great from the first time I plugged it in.
