This is another of the plethora of 'smart' light bulbs on the market. However unlike some of the higher end setups you do not require a dedicated hub to control it and others from the same maker. Instead this bulb simply uses your standard internet hub to interface the bulb to a phone app you download from your app store.Once the initial setup and connection to the bulb is made (note you do need a 2.4Ghz hub) you get full control of the bulb from the phone app. This allows you to turn the bulb on, adjust the brightness, colour temperature or even set it to display any of a massive RGB colour palette. Additional functionality allow you to set the bulb to turn on or off at scheduled times which is handy if you are absent from home as you can make it appear that someone is at home without the need for a dedicated power timer. If you don't have a schedule set or you want to vary the on/off operation you can even control it remotely across the internet using the app.Overall this is a very flexible bulb that offers many lighting options at a very good price.

Great, for us it was a little difficult to set up. (We struggle with lots of bulbs due to the age of our house). Go it going in the end.
