This 12-spool grouping of Aurifil 50/2 weight, made in Italy, 100% cotton quilting/piecing thread offers a wonderful color selection, and is offered at a very good price. Each spool holds 1300 meters/1422 yards of thread (written on label as MT1300). Breakage is minimal if it happens at all (remember to use the correct kind/size needle, change out old machine needles, and oil machine as recommended). Lint is minimal (always minimize lint by using quality thread, quality fabric). The 12 spools come in a handy plastic organizer box. Colors include: 5007 Grey Blue (very pale grey with just a hint of blue/green); 2405 Oyster Pale (a very pale pink-y peach); 2315 Pale Flesh (a very light peach); 2615 Aluminium; 2605 Grey; 1246 Dark Grey; 4241 Very Dark Grey (a soft black); 2372 Dark Antique Gold (a deep golden brown); 2326 Sand; 5021 Light Grey (a taupe-y, very light grey); 2024 White (a soft, not harsh white); and 2311 Muslin

I've been a quilter about 2 yrs. I thought any thread was okay and thought it silly to pay for anything that cost more. Well....I was wrong. First of all: it's really not that costly. Secondly: if you want really nice seams and virtually no lint to clean out of your machine then you should give Aurifil a try. The colors are gorgeous, the thread is strong and the 50 wt. almost melds right into the seam. Nice, flat blocks are the result. I can honestly say: I will use Aurifil thread from now on. It truly makes a huge difference.

This is a great bundle price for anyone wanting to grow their aurifil collection. These aren't just the very basic white, Grey and black you normally see in a neutral set. Really like the fine seams and low lint when sewing with this thread.

These threads are smooth and come in beautiful colors. They are the only ones I use for piecing my quilts.

This is a very good price for this thread and I’m happy with the purchase. The plastic box that holds the 12 spools is broken… I’m sureit happened before shipping, as it was taped to hold it together. This doesn’t interfere with thread and that’s all that matters to me.

Had this set of threads for several months now. Have enjoyed using these colors for piecing. Completed two quilt tops - one spool will be plenty for piecing a queen sized quilt top. Another color has been perfect for sewing some flannel cases. Love the strength and the texture of this low lint thread. My favorite!
