Amazing research - bad editing
This book has a LOT of research about Hekate and her worship in Ancient Greece. It covers the cultural, anthropological, archeological, architectural and linguistic facets of the Hekate cult. There are lots of images of the various archetypes found in those sites as well. So in terms of the information you get - it’s phenomenal. But the editing is very poor. There are too many spelling and grammar mistakes in this one. And it hurts readability. This book does not cover the myths of Hekate and instead focuses on only the ethnographic reality of the practices surrounding her. So it’s not a book for beginners, rather for people who already know about Hekate and want to learn more. This is the first in the series of three books on Hekate worship.
