ENGEL 13qt Leak-Proof, Air Tight, Drybox Cooler and Small Hard Shell Lunchbox for Men and Women

These 13qt little coolers are pretty awesome. I’ve been through a few little playmates and small igloos over the years. I’ve always hesitated to spend the money required to get a decent lunchbox. Had I realized how sturdy and well made these were. I would have had no hesitation. That said, I only pulled the trigger on it because the color I got. Had a $20 less price tag for whatever reason. I wasn’t sure I would like the color. I get a lot of favorable feedback on the color. Everyone always says “you won’t lose that”. Storage capacity is perfect for my needs. I take the large Yeti cup for coffee everyday. It totally fits with lots of extra space at the end of the day. The provided shoulder strap is great. I use that most every time so I can carry other stuff in my hands. I thought it would be heavier, not at all cumbersome. I throw one of those reusable ice blocks in and it keeps everything cold for the day. Hell, I know it would hold at least a 12 pack of beer with plenty of ice if needed. Seems to seal well. Fits in my locker at work. It really doesn’t seem to take up much room in the front seat of my truck. Came with several Engel decals and all. I happened to know a fellow with that last name and gave them to him. There are a lot of folks at work have the 13 qt or even have the 19 qt. They have had them for years. I hope this little guy gets me to retirement. Less than 10 years, for the price it should. If y’all decide to get one. I think you will be able to buy with confidence. I have had no dealings with their customer service or anything. Can’t comment on any of that. Enjoy and thank y’all for reading this.

I got this cooler as a Christmas gift for a family member who needed a new cooler for work; I wanted to get them something that will last them a long time and a little nicer than their old cooler, so I purchased this blindly. The reviews speak for themselves; it's a very nice cooler. So far, my loved one really likes it. It's a great cooler made with great materials, and you can tell too, the storage looked smaller than I expected, but it actually holds A LOT. It was much lighter than I expected as well (which is a good thing). Just from first impressions, I can tell it will last a very long time.

Got this for my son who started a construction job. He absolutely loves it. He said it is sturdy enough for the handle the stress he puts it thru and he appreciates the latches to keep it from spilling out of it topples over. It also keeps his cold items cold on long days on the site. Definitely worth the purchase for your favorite blue collar worker!! It even arrived sooner than we anticipated so it was all a win win.

Great little cooler.... does not hold ice long but I still like it.... perfect size for short trips or short work days..

We haven't used it yet, but it sure is a nice lunch kit. We expect it will be durable and last with the metal fixtures..but pricey but come on it's ENGEL baby

Seems a little flimsy compared to what I was expecting. Does a good job of keeping things cold with an ice pack included. Plenty of storage for a days worth of food. Good fit and stable design to ride in the floorboard. Only concern I have is how durable it might be.

Sturdy easy to transport like the airtight seal to hold ice for a few hours

Perfect size box for a short fishing trip or even lunch and cold drinks on a building site etc. It does its job well and is very sturdy. Plus it’s a good size to sit on.

Das Design erinnert ein bisschen an 50/60er Jahre Ikonen. Anders, erfrischend und nicht kitschig. Die Qualität überzeugt mit Edelstahl Applikationen und einer stabilen und effektiven Isolierung. Die 13qt Größe reicht auch für liegende Weinflaschen und 1 Liter Wasserflaschen. Bei einem Test über 24 Stunden, bei dem drei Packungen Gratin (nicht gefroren), eine 0,33 Liter Flasche Bier sowie vier Kühlakkus und ein Termometer eingelegt wurden und die Box bei Raumtemperatur stand, wurde kein Verlust verzeichnet. D.h. die Box kühlt effektiv über mindestens 24 Stunden. Da die Akkus bereits die meiste Energie verloren haben, kann man davon ausgehen, dass die Temperatur nach 24 Stunden anfängt zu steigen. Warum wir nicht länger getestet haben lag daran, dass die meisten Anwendungen innerhalb 24 Stunden geschehen und oft innerhalb von acht Stunden. Somit ist diese Box völlig ausreichend und stellt ein Produkt dar, was man aufgrund des Designs und der Qualität empfehlen könnte.

It fits quite a bit, not as much as the large under armour - but with the ua, it got bulky and I couldn’t stand the floppy lid, and the crappy zippers. I wanted a cooler that sits upright nicely, that I could “pop” open easily while driving, without having to try to unzip it. This cooler is the right size, good latches and handle, and the strap is great. I stuck a bunch of stickers on it to personalize it more. Sorry, I’m not using it to keep food cold or use ice, because I have a fridge at work, I just use this as a lunch box. But ENGEL is Australian and has been around a long time, and makes very good products so I’m sure it works very well at keeping items cold. It also comes with a plastic insert to keep sandwiches off your ice.

Love this thing, use it for my lunch daily, fits a large lunch box and a few cans or bottles of water. I use ice blocks rather than ice cubes and it does keep cool in the back of a van with closed doors even in this recent heatwave, how ever keep it out of sunlight and open the van / car doors to allow a vent and it will stay much cooler. Only annoying bit is the white top container doesn’t fit regular sized cutlery
