It cuts cables with ease.
I used this tool to cut bike cables and it worked great. I was surprised by how easy it was to use! simply because I was curious I decided to find out how many it would cut at once. I was able to cut 6 cables at once with very little effort! If I had to I would definitely buy again!! I was slightly skeptical at first because of the low price but I have used it several times with zero problems. overall, very worth the money.

Perfect cut
These cable cutters work exactly as expected. I've used them so far on 2 brake cable replacements and 1 shift cable replacement and so far they have made very clean cuts. No fraying and end cap slipped right on. No complaints.

Excellent budget option
Good product for the price, it cuts shifter cables and housing easily without fraying or shredding. It would be nice if it had a cable-end crimper, but the cutting end works if you are careful. Also, the blades seem to be durable enough to last for quite a while.

Works great
They’re nice and work great. I was worried that the locking mechanism would be awkward and difficult but it isn’t, easy to use. Cuts brake cables and shift cables cleanly and easily. Exactly what I need them to do.

Good for a hobbyiest
Redid my two shifter cables and it cuts through cables like butter and through the housing like a kitchen knife through a raw carrot. It strains a bit, but still cuts w/o appearing to incur any wear itself. The blades are not perfect and if you don't hold the housing firmly, the cutter can twist. So hold everything tightly and it works as designed.if I owned a bike shop, these would probably last a few days at most. But I bet this will last me years

Work well for the price
I almost bought the offering from Park Tool just to be safe, but ended up going with this since I'm not a professional and this is not an item I use very often. This ended up being a good buy as it cut through my bike cables and housing with no fray. I already had a pair of linesman pliers with a crimper built in, and those did a fine job crimping the included ferrules. If you're considering this tool but thinking you might be able to get by with using regular wire cutters, just get this tool. It will save you from having to buy a new cable in addition to this tool after you discover regular wire cutters don't work.

Solid budget-priced tool
Ordered in place of the the pricier Park Tools model, these cutters worked perfectly when I had to replace the shift cables on my bike. I could guess that they may not be up to the standards of the more expensive brands, but for home use I can't see they are any worse. A good buy.

Crimper and cutter directions
Where are the simple directions. It comes with caps for the cable and showed pic of them crimped but no directions for crimping. With trial and error don't use the cutter (there great and cut smooth ends) they cut the caps in half , the notch for holding closed works but if the cap is inserted top down it crimps too low to grab the cable. MUST be inserted bulb to the other handle and it worked. Glad I bought this one with 8 caps. I would be a cap short if I bought the other one with 4 caps,
