Replacement Battery for APC BACK-UPS ES BE350R

Currently using it.

Less than a year old and it stopped working.And with very little use.Let's see if the 2 year warranty will result in a replacement.

Still working. Will buy it again.

Before purchasing this replacement battery I had read somewhere that APC units had slightly different product numbers for the same product, so when ordering, one had to be very careful to order by product number rather than by product name. For example, the product name is APC ES 350, but the product number is ES350R. It's my understanding that some of these have a different letter following the 350 designation.So, I carefully ordered the correct battery. It came wrapped in double padded wrapping to protect it from being damaged. It was easy to remove the old battery, the contacts were color coded and were fairly secure. When I put the new battery back in the case, and really, there is only one way it could go back in, the sliding battery case door had to be jammed pretty tightly in, and even then it bulged slightly once I got it locked in place. The old battery had some clearance. So, although this replacement works, it's not perfect. Expect a little bit of a hassle putting it back together.

Never knew you could replace battery in a UPS backup. Almost bought a hold unit plus shipping and saw areplacement battery; researched it and ordered it. Saved about $30 overall for a 3 minute effort in swithingthe old for the new one. Snap lid to battery compartment made it simple to switch the old for the new one. Two color coded wires make it even easier with a great savings through Amazon. Shipping was less than halfthan most other places. Took longer to order than replacing. I'm very satisfied and give it a top rating asOEM.

Battery arrived in good shape and seems to be working well. One problem was that the battery would not fit in my BE350R. It was a slight bit too tall. I ended up using a dremel to grind/melt out some of the plastic in the battery compartment. It is still slightly too tall, but now I can get the cover back on and it appears to be functioning fine.

The battery that I received did not match either the written description or the photo. It was identified as having F2 terminals (0.25" wide), but instead it had F1 terminals (0.187" wide, and thinner). I was able to overcome this problem by using pliers to squeeze down the terminals in the UPS to make a firm connection, but having the proper terminal size was a factor in my decision to purchase this item over others.The photo clearly shows a battery rated at 3.5 AH, a slight improvement over the original, which would have marginally improved backup time. The battery I received was rated 3.0 AH. Not a big deal but not as described.There are other batteries available on Amazon for this APC UPS that offer a longer warranty and higher capacity. They too will require that you crimp down the terminals in your unit, but should represent a better deal overall. I am giving this item 2 stars because it fits in my UPS and it works, but my disappointment on the misrepresentation will not permit a higher rating.

OEM battery lasted 4 years of continuous use. So not sure how long this will. This seems to be made well and fits the BE350R neat and clean. The terminal lugs seems to be narrower, so you may have to slightly tighten the battery connectors by compressing them a little to avoid loose contacts. Did a quick drain test with laptop and few other light load peripherals. Seems to last for 12 minutes before it starts to give the low battery alarm (a continuous high pitch alarm)

I purchase this battery a while back for my computer power back up, It's of good quality and still holes its charge after all these years.
