Buy this. Yeah, I endorse it. I have now purchased two of them. One for the front of my wife's new VW Atlas and one for the front of my new BMW X5. The product is well made and you can tell some thought went into it. It is rubber exterior, maybe an inch thick, with (what I think is) an aluminum frame inside for a little rigidity and mounting ease. You slide your license plate inside. Also, it comes with a couple variety of screws for attachment to your bumper. In the case of the VW I had to remove the plate bracket and attach directly to bumper with self-piloting screws provided. Easy, but for the lower two screws I did drill two pilot holes for ease of install since there were no screw holes from factory. The upper screws found the already existing holes and drove themselves home. In the BMW, the exiting bracket was a perfect fit and I was able to use the machine screws provided instead of the self-piloting screws. Install time of the VW was 10 minutes or less. On the BMW it was 5 minutes or less. With all of that said I cannot say how much protection this will provide since I haven't hit anything with it (and don't plan on it) but it appears it wold be *perfect* for those times you pull into a space or garage too far and scrape your plate or front bumper. It stands out maybe an inch. Having bought it (the streamline edition) I suppose you could go a little thicker without being too silly looking, but if I had to do it again I'd still buy this version. You decide for yourself if you think you want the slightly thicker version.

I purchased 3 of these, and I love them! They look great! In my opinion, they look better than the other ones currently available. I tried the Classic Edition but I felt that they were too thick compared to these. These are 1/4" thinner, so they look much better. One of my vehicles uses only the two top screws to mount it, and it feels very secure.Screws are included (4 M6 metric machine and 4 1/4" coarse thread). The screws should fit Hondas/Acuras/Toyotas/many domestics and others but may not fit certain BMWs (you might be able to reuse your screws). I'm using screws from the "Cruiser Accessories 81500 Stainless Steel Ultimate Kit Star Pin Locking Fastener" kit.The seller EuroBumperGuard is excellent. Very good communication and they take great care of you!One suggestion to BumpTek is to engineer a way to hide the opening for the plate. Right now the top of the plate is visible through the slot, so I had to blacken the top of the plate to make it look nicer. If the top opening could be hidden with some sort of fold-over piece of rubber, it would look even better. On one of my vehicles that uses 4 screws, I'm thinking about mounting it upside down though the logo would also be upside down as well, but at least it should look much better. And I wouldn't mind if you came out with an even thinner version as well.Overall, I am very pleased with these!

I got the first one for my rear hatch license plate as my subwoofer was causing it to chip through the paint on the lower edge. The rubber back and heavy weight of this solves my rattling issues. So then I had to get a matching one for the front plate and our other vehicle to replace the metal ones that were rusting. These are sized perfectly and hold their shape well without distorting. I have more peace of mind knowing our front license plates are protected in parking lots.

The frames have a thick, rugged [but] clean look. A great fit for any SUV.

Originally purchased the BumpShox XL for my 2017 BMW and it would always activate the front sensors when the car is at a stand still and make an annoying beeping noise. Switched out the BumpShox XL with this and it no longer activates my front sensors at red lights while still offering great protection from bad parallel parkers. Highly recommended.UPDATE: Worked fine for about 2 weeks but after that my parking sensors started going off again. Not sure what changed but had to remove because it was very annoying to deal with the beep noise at every red light or stop. This is the second product I’ve purchased from this company and both end up activating my parking sensors so I won’t be wasting money on any more of their products.UPDATE 2: Ended up installing again and giving it another shot before returning since I really wanted protection for my car and my parking sensors mysteriously stopped going off. Been using for a couple of months now with no issues and my parking sensors haven’t gone off since.

No dislikes great for my jeep front plate easy install. Screws not so good.

So far so good! Some of the other products had annoying red company logos on them, and unless they are paying me to advertise, I will not do so. This one has the logo in black so you can barely see it. Came with 4 pointy screws and 4 non-pointy screws. I used the pointy ones and they fit well, seeming to be of good quality. I hope they are stainless/rustproof, but I don't know yet, so I will update at a later point. The product is thick yet soft, and sturdy. I wish it had a clear plastic cover, like my old product, to keep my license plate clean too, but I guess that would be asking too much. I bought it because people are so inconsiderate when parking, and think it's okay to play bumper cars. Since car companies don't put nice bumpers on cars anymore, I figured this product was a good investment.2 YEAR UPDATE: It's holding up well, but the screws have gotten rusty. I will have to find some new rust-proof screws that fit. The plate continues to do a great job protecting the front of the car (knock on wood!). After I wash the car, I coat this item with Armor All to keep the rubber fresh & happy!
