Great product!
Great quality, heavy which is good and the price was just right. Size is typical for a regular tailor's ham. Smooth edges so very easy to steam on. Would recommend.

Tailor’s Ham for Garment Shaping & Pressing Curves
This tailor’s ham is well made and durable. The firmness holds up under heat and steam, making pressing more precise than using a flat surface. A perfect tool for garment sewing and tailoring projects.

High quality and does the job!
This does the job really well, I’m very happy with my purchase. Sometimes I wish it were a bit bigger but I know there are other products for that out there.

Mildew smell...
I was already familiar with this particular tailor ham as a friend has one. I like the size and shape, and the materials are fine for me. I didn't experience any problem with the fabric melting or anything. I don't know what the deal is with this one, but it smelled like mildew right out of the package. I have stuffed it in a bag with some moisture absorber packs and hope that helps to pull the smell out. Since it is stuffed with sawdust, there isn't anything you can do to wash it. I didn't really see where anyone else had this problem, so maybe it is a fluke for me? I will give it some time and update if it airs out okay. As for the cancer warning on the label, it is because it is full of sawdust (and not cancerous chemical soaked sawdust, plain non chemically treated sawdust). Apparently, inhaling plain sawdust (as in if you cut wood and breathe in that air) can cause cancer. You are not breathing in this sawdust (it is fully enclosed) but it doesn't make any difference to the California cancer warning. So if you don't cut it open, throw it in the air, and inhale it all, you will be fine. Update: After leaving it in a bag with some moisture absorber packs, the smell is pretty well gone. I spritzed some febreeze on there and it smells nice now so I moved it up to four stars. Annoying, but glad it worked. I don't know why the manufacturer doesn't ship it with something to absorb odors and moisture.

No more unwanted creases
I've had this in my wish list for a while and finally purchased it. I haven't used mine yet but had used a friend's some years ago. They're a great addition to the sewing room, ironing routine and general crafting. Just be mindful that each side is used for different temperature settings. The one I received is well made and I look forward to using it for whatever creativity my mind comes up with.

NICE TO KNOW THE QUALITY SURVIVED
As a longterm sewer and craftsmaker, I have a 50 year old taylors "ham". I was nervous about ordering online without seeing and feeling the quality. Dritz is a well known name in sewing products. They have stayed true to the quality! Impressive. I do recommend and appreciate the great price point. Thanks!

Perfect for serious home sewing
These are vital, along with a seam roll and a tailor board to really get a professional look on all seams. Press and sew, sew and press. These keep the seams from pressing thru other layers and leaving an impression and allow access to small curves like darts and princess seams

Different kind of ham
This is great - I bought it to help sublimate and heat transfer on baseball caps and it works out so well.
