I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how good the quality of this little shelf is and on the size itself especially considering what great value it is.It’s easy to attach with 4 screws that push through the bars, each with two washers to secure them. There was no wobble once everything was tightened up and they hold quite a lot of weight.As it’s wood it isn’t the easiest to clean if it gets weed on, but where I’m using it that’s not an issue. You can also get something like plastikote to treat it with to make it a little waterproof and easier to keep clean.The little lip around the platform is also great for hamsters (who can be clumsy little things) to stop them falling off, and to keep food bowls and toys safely on the platform and not get pushed off.Overall I’m really happy with the platform and would definitely recommend it for all small pets.EDIT - I’ve now brought five of these platforms. Three 28cm, one 33ccm and one 17cm for my hamsters and my chinchilla. They’re such great value for decent sturdy shelves I really have nothing to fault with them and I’m sure I’ll continue to buy to keep adding more enrichments for my cages.

Sturdy, large, wooden shelf for hamster cage. Really simple to attach to metal bars of my large Syrian hamster cage. Teamed it with a long bendy bridge to give access to it.My Syrian hamster now has another level to play on, and the upstand means he and his toys can't easily fall off.You will need quite a large and high hamster cage to fit this in, and it could probably easily be fitted to wooden sided DIY cages if you drilled holes in the side /back of the cage.Good value for money, and I think this will last well. Note: it is not sealed wood, so if your hamster is the sort to pee on shelves, then you may want to seal it before use.

This platform is priced in a very good range compared to other similar product. The product took less than a minute to assemble in the cage and it’s a good addition to converse the cage as a fun playground for our little furry friends.I created a little loft for my bunny to hangout, and he loves it.NB: I did see some glue has been used in this product, but I don’t really mind.

Bought this for our elderly budgie, 8 years sitting on a perch has taken its toll. He would lie on his perch and was very subdued, (We were worried the end was nigh)he absolutely loves this platform, it's the best thing we have ever bought him, he's now singing again and spends most of the day stood on it talking to his mirror!its big enough for 2 budgies, a food and water bowl and a large mirror. great value.
