Dexam17848104 Cream Retro Kitchen Scales with a Large Bowl, Stainless Steel

I purchased this item about six months ago after my digital scale stopped working. I tried to replace batteries, but it just was not the same. So, I decided to go with mechanical scale.I absolutely love the design and the look. It is all metal - not plastic part on the outside.The only downfall is that the measuring lines are a bit smaller than I expected. However, it works great with any bowl and looks great on my kitchen counter top.

I really just bought this to be kitchen decor rather than using it to weight things. Hard to find one this great looking and the quality is fantastic too. Glad I bought it.

Easy to assemble and measures accurately. I do a lot of baking and crafting and wanted a reliable old-fashioned scale--one where I did not have to make sure batteries were on hand. It is also attractive sitting on my counter. I just love it.

I love the vintage look of the scale and it is very accurate. It is larger than I expected but it looks great on my countertop. It is a conversation piece too. I love it!!

I like the look of this set of scales. However, how many people want to weigh several kilos at a time? Most want to be able to easily and accurately read small amounts for baking. This is difficult to do as the calibrations are so close together and not clearly marked. I had to revert to my small digital scales to make scones. Had I not unpacked this set I would have returned it.

Nice looking scales, exactly as on photo. It is made from metal as far as I can tell so should last a while (as it should be clear from the price this is not a top of the range scales.) It has a small screw to set it to zero (in case you want to use a different bowl, etc.). The dial is clear and well readable. It arrives in three parts, two screws have to be fitted before you can use it - nothing complicated at all.It has already done a good job and feels like it is going to do so for quite a while longer.

Great vintage looking scales. I bought for my mum as she has a vintage style kitchen but I didn’t want a traditional bulky scale. Happy with the price and she loves it because it shows weight in Kilo aswell as Pounds/oz. Only downside is that it would be great if the bowl fit upside down on the scale but this is only minor.

The bowl is much smaller than anticipated bearing in mind that it can weigh up to 10lbs of items e.g. Flour.With the size of bowl supplied this is not really feasible and the scale adjustment wheel is very small and fiddly requiring many turns to set.

Bought to replace a very well used and faded set of scales. I've used free weight, digital and manual but of them all these I like best. Lovely clear face and numbers, good sized pan and easy to adjust. Baking has turned out well so they appear to be accurate. Nice bit of kitchen kit.
