Keeps workspace tidier. Very handy item. Strong magnets.

The little basket was nice for holding pencils but I say not big enough for much else. Novelty item, not worth the price.

The basket itself is well made and will hold up well but the magnets just aren't strong enough. The basket slid down my whiteboard with absolutely nothing inside it! If its on the lower edge resting against the frame it will stay connected to the board at least but it will slide down anywhere else on the board. The paint seems ok and hasn't chipped on us yet. But if you need the basket to hold to a surface without any extra support this is not the basket for you!

I was rather disappointed with this magnetic pencil holder. I got this to put on my refrigerator to hold the whiteboard markers. The size is great, bigger than I needed. The magnet has very little hold. Half a dozen markers and the whole thing started sliding down. 6 whiteboard markers don't weigh that much.

Works like a charm! I was concerned that the magnets might be on the weak side, but this really sticks well to the fridge. I suspect it would hold up a brick if I needed it to, so it's more than sufficient for whatever light tools, recipe cards, or whatever other kitchen items you might want to tuck away in it.

We have a condensing style washer/dryer combo unit. If you aren't familiar with them they use only water to wash AND dry clothes (think steam and condensation), so all of discharge from the machine is liquid. That means that, unlike traditional air dryers, some lint ends up along the door gasket and should be wiped off after each cycle. We've found that dampened paper towels seem to work best, but previously we were setting those on top of the washer after use and disposing of them later. The problem was that we sometimes have clothes sitting on the machine as well, creating the possibility that the wet, soiled paper towels could come into contact with clothes.This item, although intended as a pencil holder, works perfectly to hold a few used paper towels until we can empty them into the trash can. And because it is magnetic it holds nicely to the outside of the washer/dryer unit. So now when we clean the gasket between washes we drop the used paper towels into this basket. Then we empty the basket after starting the next cycle. And the open style allows air to pass through so the towels dry before they are tossed into the trash.I was a bit surprised by the size - it appears to be a bit smaller than the stated measurements. But that's just a matter of perception. It is actually a very useful item, and as we have found, has uses beyond just holding pencils.
