I bought these sachets for a new Mum with perineal bruising (ouch)after a stitch failed. On my own past experience, I advised her to wrap a piece of cut muslin around a frozen sachet and place it where it hurts, to relieve the bruising and to numb the area. I used to wash and sterilise the sachet and re-freeze after the ice had melted, but there are plenty here for four or five days even if the sachets are thrown away. It gives such welcome relief, and is money well spent as it works a charm.
