Wide width description is misleading.
The construction of the shoe seems to be high quality, and I have worn Century martial arts shoes for a very long time without any negatives. I've always liked Century because they "fit wide." My last pair survived three years of Tai Chi and Qi Gong practice, which is why I went with these to replace the old pair I own. Sadly, Century has gone the route of most shoe manufacturers trying to saving money--cutting costs by using less leather, thereby making the shoes more narrow. Far too narrow for any sort of comfort. A real letdown.

Lightweight, maybe too sticky still?
After five years of getting my toes stepped on in krav maga, I finally bought these due to issues with joints in one of my feet.I actually changed ALL my shoes, and my feet are feeling better - can't say which pair made the difference ultimately, or if all helped. On to this particular shoe....These seem like they will last, after wearing them for several classes now. The traction is, well, pretty good. It hangs me up a little bit on my round kicks, putting extra strain on my knees. However, I'm not sure less traction would be safe given the sweat drops folks leave around the mats.My biggest surprise was that they have so little material on top of the feet. It really doesn't offer much protection to the top of your foot at all - either when round kicking pads or if someone steps on you. It'll help reduce toe stubs and catches on the floor, and general abrasion. Overall I'm happy, other than wishing I had ordered black.... :)

I have worn them to several classes and am generally pleased. The soles are VERY 'grippy' on the mat
I purchased the Century Lightfoot Martial Art Shoes recently. I have worn them to several classes and am generally pleased. The soles are VERY 'grippy' on the mat. If you like that, Great. It does make pivoting for kicks a little hard if you are on a grippy mat. The "pivot point" on the sole is pretty useless being of the same material as the rest of the sole, it doesn't really provide any pivoting advantage. Other reviews that I read before purchasing stated that they run a full size large. That is absolutely true. I normally wear a size 11. Purchasing a size 10 probably would have been perfect. However, because I like to use cushioned inserts in my shoes, I purchased a 10 1/2 and that worked out, even though they are a little long in the toe. In most of the photos that I've seen they look to be black and white. The white is actually gray.I will wear these until I wear them out, then I will probably go back to the Adidas product.

Inexpensive, light weight kick boxing shoes.
I need a pair of cheap, light weight shoes for practicing kick boxing on a heavy bag and double end bag. These had decent reviews. They are light so they do not add too much weight to your feet when trying to kick. They have good traction on the plastic garage tiles where I do my training. They slip on and off easily with the large velcro strap. The price is good and they fit to the size that I usually wear. Not much else to say until I have used them for a while to see the durability of them.

This shoe is fantastic for karate
This shoe is fantastic for karate. I appreciate the pivot points and the support this shoe gives me. These shoes are only good for mats and not for a hard surface, in my opinion. I wear these on mats daily and I am confident they offer support and great protection for my toes. Eventually I know the shoe will stretch out and I'll wear a thin sock but for now I wear these without socks. I liked these so much that I bought another pair in a different color. I haven't opened the box of the new pair yet so I couldn't tell you if the new pair is as good as these.

Finally a good fitting shoe
It’s hard to find a martial arts shoe in my size (13). What few are out there are either too small or narrow. These fit well (a tad snug but I expect will stretch) and seem to be good quality. They are a little too grippy for my use but probably spot on for Taekwondo. At this point I’ll take what I can get.

LOVE!
I LOVE these shoes. I've been doing taekwondo for 2 years and haven't needed shoes. I started at a fitness kickboxing place and found I couldn't properly turn and balance with my workout/running/gym shoes. I got these and they are perfect! I feel so much better in my workout. If I have a reason to wear them to taekwondo, I absolutely will. They fit true to size. I am a 5 and was worried they'd be too small, so I got a 5.5. They are too big, but just slightly. A 5 would've have been perfect.

Great martial arts shoes.
I’m just starting in Kung Fu and like many do jo’s we too have floor mats. With that regular sneakers are considered taboo so I tried Amazon for these shoes and I was not disappointed - my thanks to Amazon, the Seller, and the Manufacturer.

Great!
After a few tries with the sizing, found my size. I normal wear size 8-8.5 US, but is 7.5 with these shoes.
