Response had been sitting for a couple years and had a lot of debris in them. I used 1bag it worked great kept the debris out of my pump and was able to drain both upper and lower ponds without any problems. My fountain pump fits into the net bag perfectly. I haven’t had to clean the pump yet, been over a month. It’s a large 40” fountain bowl and the water is still flowing strong. I normally have to clean the pump every couple weeks so this is a blessing. The pump sits in an under water reservoir, the reservoir hatch is hidden under river stone etc., so is a bit of a process. If I only have to clean it a couple times a summer that will save me some time.
