ASCENDAS Guitar EQ-7545R 4-Band EQ Equalizer System Acoustic Guitar Preamp Piezo pickup for Acoustic Guitar Black (CURVE)

I've installed this unit in 3 guitars now, one being one of my personal guitars & I have no complaints. They have a full, rich sound, don't eat batteries, and very easy to install, even in a guitar that wasn't already electric/acoustic. Well worth the price.

Greetings, this may sound weird. . . . I restore antique phonographs (and vintage Reel-to-Reel tape recorders) that typically have ceramic / crystal cartridges (pickups). This device is PERFECT for matching ceramic cartridges to vintage electronics. The output is line level (-10dB), but workable with high impedance (vacuum tube) amplifiers. I bought one to experiment with. It worked so well - I bought many more. This particular install I use for ingesting transcription discs (lateral or vertical cut) for restoration and archiving. Because this little amp is designed to amplify a piezo pickup (piezo Is crystal afterall) it's perfect for vintage ceramic cartridges. -Tim, Genuine Effection Sound Recorders.

Awesome pickup! Would buy again for sure. Very easy to install. Total time took 20 min. Sound quality is better than my $200 Gabbanelli pickup. Only thing I would change is maybe if the connection was a all in one strap pin! Would’ve been awesome.

Purchased exact same replacement model. Fit was perfect. Sound was the same as before. Install was ok. It helps if you have experience installing these.

My Yamaha 335 is a standard acoustic, not acoustic electric. So I cut everything out to install this unit. It works just fine. The saddle pickup fits within the existing bridge of this guitar with no modification needed on the bridge. HOWEVER, you will have to shave the saddle to accommodate for the thickness of the pickup. Sound quality isn't the best in the world, but really what acoustic/electric really is anyway? For my purposes it was a cheap way to be able to electrify my backup gig acoustic.

This was the same one already on the guitar so it was an easy swap. The price was right and it worked great.

Pickup didn’t work - faulty kit

Not to bad of an install. I've never done one before, and it only took about an hour. Take your time and make sure to tape everything up before you cut, measure twice and cut once. I haven't had the chance to plug it in to an amp yet, mine is packed away.
