I haven't used this for our small dog yet, but I did finally get a chance to put it to the test this week. I have a senior cat that has to go to the vet every few months for blood work. I wanted her to have something more comfortable for her treks back and forth. I had a fairly old school hard-sided plastic carrier, but she'd cry miserably when she was in it. I'm not sure why, but she definitely didn't put up the fight she usually does with the plastic carrier. She also settled down fairly quickly once inside. Not the usual crazy yowling all the way to the vet's office. All of this was awesome, but when we got into the car to go home, she peed in her carrier. Gallons (or so it seemed). When we got home I took her out, expecting to have to give her a bath, but the included little bed had absorbed every. single. drop. I rinsed it under clear, cold water for a couple of minutes, threw it in the washer on a gentle cycle and it came out just fine! This, alone, makes this carrier worth every cent. She wets her carrier fairly regularly when she has to go anywhere, so usually the stress of a bath is added to the whole ordeal.Aside from the obvious merits of a carrier that doesn't leak urine all over the car, I am also pretty excited about the quality. The fabric feels like a stiff canvas duck, but is smooth to the touch. The vegan leather handles and details make it look fairly swanky. My assistant at work even commented on it when we went to pick her up. The zippers seem strong and don't miss, plus it has a cool little leash feature inside (for dogs, I assume?). I didn't use the shoulder strap to carry it this time around, but I did attach it to the carrier and the snaps on each end moved smoothly and held strongly. All-in-all, I'm super impressed. Thumbs-up from this cat lady!

This bag makes me feel like a man as I carry my cat through the airport! The rich smell of leather surrounds me while my feline roars in the direction of other passengers. Plenty of ventilation from all directions except for beneath. The velcro pad is genius, leather zipper pulls are nice, color is appealing, and ability to access your animal from the front or top is convenient. Small window for my pet to poke it's head out or paw at bypassers. There is a sling for those days you have more than one bag while on the move and a cool little strap to secure your pet inside.Solid bag that keeps its shape and is truly worth every penny. Hope the zippers hold up. This model is large but seems a bit cramped, even for a large cat.

My dog was very comfortable in the carrier for our trip. The only issue is just after one use on a direct flight the stitching at the top of the carrier is beginning to separate which is disappointing.

This pet carrier is amazing! I have 5 cats and am constantly searching for products that make caring for them easier. I am tired of having to shove them in to hard shell carriers because I am getting attacked every time! This design is WELL thought out and everything I wondered about was included. The fact that the fleece bed is secured with velcro is awesome and I love that it can be removed to be washed! You can't throw the whole bag in the wash but you can hose it off because the fabric is very durable! Perfect for cats and/or small dogs and the you cant beat the price!

Item looks nice and fit my 14lb miniature poodle but one of two zipper pulls that held the entrance side of the bag together fell off the first time I used the bag at the airport. Not knowing if the other zipper would fail, my cross country flight became rather stressful. I regret not purchasing a more expensive bag.

I wanted to have the carrier a while before leaving a review. I got this for my chihuahua I recently adopted. I was hesitant to get her a collapsible carrier because I didn't want it to freak her out and turn carriers into a negative thing. I bought this because of the ventilation. I live in Arizona. (Yeah. I know. It's even more hot than you think it is.) I was pleasantly surprised at how well it holds up. After some training and positive reinforcement, Fawn loves the carrier. She was with the Humane Society for quite some time and I was worried that she wouldn't like it but it's comfortable and airy. I love how many areas there are I can zip open to pet or comfort her. I very much wish there was more storage, BUT WE CAN'T ALWAYS GET WHAT WE WANT. I do, however, love that there's a hook with a mini leash so she can't run and jump out. I'm a little peculiar and wanted extra padding and comfort so I put an old baby blanket in there. But otherwise I love this carrier a lot.

The carrier was great for our small puppy the first two weeks after purchasing, but then it quickly started to come apart. The seams and wiring on the inside all started to come undone. The look of the bag definitely outweighs the quality of the bag.

This is a great carrier for my 9 pound kitty. Even my large cat likes to sleep in it. Although I haven't flown with it, it's very flexible and should fit under the seat easily. The leather straps give it a very classy look. Well-made and I believe it will last for a long time.
