I used one of these to make up a common mode choke for my portable setups. From now on I plan to crimp the center pin since soldering made the insulation melt enough to not fit inside the center tube.

I like clean looks in my antennas. I make a lot of J-Pole style HAM radio antennas and don't like the cob-job look of a panel mount fitting stuck on however you could make it work. These allow me to solder on the coax right at the tuned point and terminate it with a clean, professional finish. Easy to apply, and solid crimp rings, it was thoughtful to include a piece of glue lined heat shrink to finish the connection. 10/10, recommend.

I purchased these for an antenna choke project. Because the choke is used inline with the coax feedline, a PL259 on one end and an SO239 on the other would make for a clean assembly. However, I have never used crimp on SO239 connectors before and could not figure out how to properly use them. I checked on the internet to get instructions, but found nothing. The dimensions to trim the coax were lacking and could only be guessed at. After a lot of wasted effort, I just used a pair of PL259s. The SO239s will go into the junk drawer.

not amphenol quality, but for ham radio use, they are working just fine. Allows me to put nice secure crimps on the ends of my cables. Custom length cables are better than having to coil up all the extra.
