Many other plates are Flat design. Review: Works great - A pretty solid mount on my RIA M1 1911 9mm tact ultra Review: Fits GSG 1911-22 - Fit GSG 1911-22 and vortex viper just fine. It has a set screw in front to make up for the non standard sight base on the gsg. It's a little short though. I replaced it with a slightly longer one from the hardware store and it's rock solid and level. I didn't have to alter the mount itself to make it fit at all. You could also shim it with a thin piece of metal and protect the slides finish better. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Two-peice mounting plate, not one-piece *by T***Y on December 11, 2021* I actually requested a refund on this item, and decided to cancel the refund and do a little bit of filing. I was able to make this work for my needs. The rear novak slide cut on my 1911 was slightly higher than the mount, forcing the plate to angle down...filed the underside of the plate down and it fits perfect. I thought this was one solid piece, it is not. This is a two piece mounting plate. A sight push will slide in the slidemount, and the plate attatches resting on top with two screws. Was somewhat wobbly, till i filed the plate down. Looks good. I do not like the 2 piece mount and would prefer a solid piece...but with that being said, it functions flawlessly. The online store is also very responsive, and easy to work with. I will be returning to thier online store for future purchases from them. Tho i did not return this item, the store has impeccable ethic, and has earned my business. I may be a picky customer, but this store is sooo good, i would recommend searching thier items before looking elsewhere.
