It’s loud! Just like I like it
The media could not be loaded. This was a pleasant surprise. I normally use Remo heads on my snare. I placed this on my steel Piccolo with the Remo hazy bottom. It’s a 13 inch snare. Super bright, a very high crackPitch sound. I love the sound, as it reminds me of the 311, Deftones and Spin Doctors. I play death metal so no pitch is too high. lol Purchase this! you will not be disappointed.

Strong and bright
This sounds amazing on my black beauty, and i cant dent it no matter how hard i hit. Bright and responsive like a single ply. This is the last snare head you will ever buy. Buy it.

Best drumhead in the game, of course next to the original the Remo Falam K series with the clear dot, the original kevlar marching snare batter head in the industry.

Satisfactory, Dark Tone (Has Overtone Ringing)
When combining w/ the sturdiest Evans snare side head, (the MX5) you get a very dark and wet sound. To remedy this, when playing or recording, I’d recommend a 6-inch practice pad, or a phone. Thanks for the 1,125 players circle points!

Piccolo snare
These things are INSANE on Pearl piccolo snares when they’re cranked. I tried it on my 13x 7 maple snare and it just didn’t work, but on a piccolo... Holy moly talk about a crack!!! I’m a happy camper for sure 👍It takes all the ring out of a piccolo and leaves a nice crisp crack but still sensitive enough for ghost strokes. A+++

I have used this head for over 3 years now. Never in my life have I had a snare drum head last so long and continue to sound so good. Took a little getting used to for tuning. I had to be careful not to choke the drum by tuning it too high, but you can definitely get a nice wide range with it. Recorded two albums, and received many compliments on it.

EVANS - The Choice of Drum Corps, Percussion Instructors, and Players Alike!
Our High School marching band competes nationally, so we practice HARD and EVANS drum heads stand up to all we can dish out.
