Good for the price. Hope it lasts.
For the price this is a good light. The casing feels a bit cheap though. The next step up is quite a bit more expensive.Got it for a 20~foot fishing boat. While the idea of the wireless version was great, the concern was what if remote gets lost, batteries die, or the RF on light dies? So this hardwired took all that concern away. The screws for mounting the base are a bit lacking so went and got some stronger/better stainless ones. The downfall of this is the little screw covers didn't fit as screw head was larger, but the install itself was fine and screws worked.Initially after install I thought it wasn't as bright (but did install during day).Next day we took it out before sunrise and it was perfect. Not over bright (which can get you in trouble) and not too dim.We mounted on the t-top of the boat.IF you do this one thing to keep in mind is generally you want lights as far forward as possible, BUT you don't want glare so you want to step it back a bit and use the t-top kind of like a hat.Worked perfect. Up, down, left right all work well.Guess time will tell how this holds up. While it has a good warranty I can't imagine having to tear this thing down to get service. Also not sure how much of a pain getting warranty work will be.As for the rock cover. I think that's too much of a pain to put on and off so we just turn the light facing backwards when not needed.

Good value.
Seems to be a good unit for the money. I bought four stainless steel screws a size larger to mount this to my motorhome, mostly because the old spotlight was mounted with #8 screws that had rusted badly. Time will tell if this unit holds up to highway speeds. I'll update this review if my rating changes. The only quibble I have is that a broader beam (more a flood light) would have been better for my application. The old unit had both beams, but a direct replacement was more than twice the price.

So far so good
I just installed the go light and it works as promissed. I did replace the ss screws with better quality and longer length. Those supplied did not have enough bite to hold in bad weather precisly when you need it. Also it would have been nice had the cable been white since part of my install had to show cable under the bow sprit. Most boats are white as well as cable clamps.

Works great. Highly recommended.
Very easy to install and works like a charm. All the cables, fittings, etc. supplied. Need basic electrical skills to wire into existing wiring harness - I repurposed the fuse from my existing dock lights on the boat. The only problem was finding a large enough flat area to mount it - I have a deck boat and the area where the original dock light was was quite small. Remote works great, and being cabled there's no risk of losing it.

First one was so nice, I didn't bother looking for anything else
This is my second purchase of this model Go Light in the past 15 years... for my smaller 17' T-Top Whaler. First one was so nice, I didn't bother looking for anything else. Passengers on my boat are stunned by the powerful beam this light produces. Best deal around for an extremely nice remote controlled spotlight. Easy to install and use.

RIGHT AND LEFT, NO UP AND DOWN!
COMPLETE FAILURE AFTER APPROXIMATELY 5 USES IN 11 MONTHS. I mounted my Golight on the front of my pontoon for boating at night. I made the purchase July 2014 and mounted it soon after it was received. After several hours running the wiring in a loom, along side the existing harness, to the console and battery, the light looked and worked great. Well, today I turned the light on and it worked, I moved the toggle right and left, and that worked. But, when I toggled up and down, nothing happened. I opened the housing and expected to see rust and/or corrosion, but it was clean and dry (boat stayed covered when not in use). The up/down motor had seized. I just ordered a motor with gear from GOLIGHT for $20.
