Love love these gated! We have a French bulldog pup and the gates are perfect for blocking our stairs. Good for our hardwood floors as well💕

My 11 pound Cavalier King Charles Spaniel thinks she needs to be on or next to me 24/7. She easily scoots this open with he nose (see 3rd photo) and trots right up the stairs to our carpeted bedrooms. This also allows our (not so assertive) larger dog an open access as well.I am going to try another reviewers (or ? answerer’s) idea and add ankle weights to help secure the gate. At least it should make it a little bit more challenging.I have read that the extra purchase ($30) of the “feet” only help keep the gate upright and do not aid in preventing dogs from scooting it open. So I will not waste my money on them.I have not really had a problem with them tipping over. It only has happened once or twice and that was due to my son being in a hurry and not clearing the top of the gate, knocking it over. Our dogs are 10 & 11 and don’t jump up on them.Pros: The gate seems fairly solid in build, is attractive, (the white goes well with our wood trim) and conveniently conforms to spaces.Cons: It is light weight & pricey. ~ Easily pushed open by cool, wet noses ….EDIT! Ankle weights were of no help whatsoever! 😖😩

When we first opened this up I was surprised by the intense smell. We set it outside for 2 days and still had off-gassing when we brought it inside. We've been using this for a couple months now and I can still faintly smell the fumes when I pass by it! The panels are well built and have held up to my 7 year old son sitting and crawling over them. We purchased the leg stands separately to give some additional support.

Exactly what we needed! Just replaced all upstairs carpet in the house and decided our 2 (very hairy!) dogs didn’t need full access allday long. Dogs are older-45 and 55 pounds- and to be fair, they (mostly) understand the concept of boundaries so they haven’t tried to push over, jump, or challenge this gate in any way. That being said, it stands sturdy, is well-made and visually appealing. I love that it doesn’t need to be wall-attached, and can be configured a few different ways. I like having the panel open-close option but my husband just steps over it. Was packaged with care and required zero assembly. Would definitely recommend if you have similar needs!
