6mm wide - Good eye relief, Sharp crisp focus on planets, and a large, wide view clear to the edges
So among the things I couldn't mention in the title are that the top lens in the eyepiece (the one you put your eye to) is nice and large, so you're not squinting through a small hole. I had a great night for viewing last night (clear skies and little atmospheric turbulence) so I took my Apertura AD8 (8in Dobsonian) out with this eyepiece to gaze at Saturn and Jupiter ( apologize that my phone was not cooperating for through the lens shots). Saturn was sharp, Cassini's division was clear, and I could easily see some cloud banding, and 2 of its moons. Jupiter was clear and sharp with cloud banding clearly visible and 5 moons easily identified. Just for fun - I pushed my telescope to it max usable magnification by putting in a good 2x Barlow, and this eyepiece. It held up well. the focus snapped and the images were bigger - unfortunately, the atmospheric turbulence was also amplified. But the views were still glorious and elicited many excited and awed noises from my wife when she gazed through the eyepiece. I'm just an amateur without the free funds to dump hundreds of dollars per eyepiece. I'm a front yard astronomer on clear nights. I also wear glasses - which is why the eye relief is important to me, so I can keep my glasses on while viewing. This 6mm eyepiece really impressed me, and it was worth every penny of the 35$ price tag and then some. I'll be buying more of the Sbvony wide eyepieces in the future to start replacing the older style eyepieces leftover from my previous Meade telescope with small eyeholes and no eye relief.

I would like to give it 10 stars!!
I have some kellner and plossl eyepieces. I also have Barlows 2x and 3x. And now I have this amazing eyepiece. What you read from some critics about the characteristics of lenses and Barlows, will too often confuse you and often will lead you astray from buying a great piece of equipment that you probably would thoroughly enjoy if had not decided to forego the purchase based on their opinions. I truly believe that some critics opinions are simply parroting what others have said for fear of reprisal, and they have never really tried the product themselves. For example, I have found that the 3x Meade Barlow has become my most often used attachment. It is superb and I don't even use my Orion shorty 2x anymore. The so-called loss of light compared to a 2x is nonexistent and not worth talking about when you are using it out in the field. Also, I see no difference in my Plossl vs. Kellner. Yes, the eye relief for the plossl is closer to the eyepiece but it works so much better when I attach that lens to my android cell phone camera. I can just set the lens right on the camera lens with the holding carriage (the optical lenses on both are recessed and won't get scratched) . You don't need to adjust the lens position away from the camera due to a longer exit pupil found with a non plossl. Now lets talk about this Ultraview lens. You would almost think that something has to give if you are using an eyepiece that is going to give you good eye relief with wide viewing at only 6mm! I bought it for the sole purpose of finding out what have they given up to achieve all of this. They have given up nothing. This lens has an amazing wide view, good eye relief with quality clarity that even excelled the same power with any other combinations or single lens that I have. The lens is a longer device even longer than my 3x Meade Barlow. The only negative about this lens is that it will take almost one month coming from China before you have it in your hot little hands. Your patience will be rewarded. This lens will make some of my other combinations go onto the shelf. As I use it more, I will find out what new combinations will work best and quicker in the field.

Best Low End Eyepieces on the Market (Under $40)
Best Low End Eyepieces on the Market (Under $40)After examining and testing Meade, Celestron and SVBONY, in my opinion SVBONY ishands up better than the other two eyepiece providers. My ranking is SVBONY, Meade and Celestron, in that order. I did not examine Orion eyepieces. This is based on their 6mm, 9mm and 20mm eyepieces.Of course SVBONY eyepieces can not be expected to match the higher priced, better quality eyepieces made for Meade, Orion, Celestron or Tele Vue but they are a good bang for the buck.I would rate SVBONY eyepieces a 5 for the under $40 market and a 3 overall when compared to the quality ones. The best feature of the SVBONY wide angle eyepieces is their great POV; however, acaveat comes with this and that is you need to have the object you are viewing centered in the eyepiece. Here are Pros and Cons of the SVBONY wide angle eyepieces:Pros - great field of vision and if you have the object centered in the scope good clarity - appears well constructed - reasonable price for what it is supposed to offer - good value for the moneyCons - very heavy. If you add a heavy barlow lens in all likelihood you might not be able to mount a cell phone or camera to the scope - chromatic aberration and comas if the object is off to the side of center in the scope

SVBONY Customer Support Made it Right!!! 1 star to 5 stars
SVBONY reached out after my original one star review and corrected Amazon's mistake. Amazon sent me another costumers returned damaged order. Shame on Amazon as this seems to be happening more lately.SVBONY customer service has been amazing and shipped a replacement next day. My other 9mm arrived today. It arrived double bubbled wrapped inside of its original packaging, boxed & factory sealed marked new. What a difference not only in the packaging but also in the clarity of the optics. If your optics ever arrive like to picture shown and not in their original packaging reach out to SVBONY customer support. As for the damaged 6mm in my case they said keep it. I teach science and once each year during our astronomy unit we do a little solar viewing with proper filters installed. The damaged eyepiece will still be put to use being passed around the classroom along with a space shuttle tile and meteorite to hopefully inspire new astronomers and hobbyist.Thank you SVBONYOriginal Post BelowMaybe I was just an unlucky customer but we will see. I purchased a 6mm ultrawide and a 9mm ultrawide. The 6 has arrived first and what a disappointment and I haven’t even had a chance to use it. The dust cover is cracked and damaged won’t even stay on and will need to be replaced. Dust visible on the inside of the optics and it’s “brand new”. It also doesn’t have a box. Update will come with the arrival of the second eyepiece that’s already in transit to see any differences in QC. So far not pleased as new. Optics should be boxed, dust free, and free of defects including the end caps.

Worth the money
I purchased this eye piece as an upgrade for my Orion Sky-scanner 100mm telescope. This eye piece takes some getting used to but is good quality for the price point. It works well by itself as well as with a 2x Barlow. A great addition to my kit. Photo taken with a 2x Barlow as well as this 6mm eyepiece a little while before sunset.
