Avène Cleanance Hydra Soothing Cleansing Cream

I have insanely sensitive, blemish prone skin and have been struggling to find skincare products that don’t irritate my skin. This was recommended to me by my dermatology office and I’m obsessed. My skin doesn’t get irritated and I don’t break out. It feels amazing. Not too thick, not too thin. As an added bonus, it smells great.

I love this brand of products and i initially bought this thinking it was a facial lotion. I was going to return it but I was pleasantly surprised after feeling the texture and then trying it out. My skin was in a drying phase so after using this I could sense a noticeable improvement in my skins softened and hydration. There is no scent and it has a very rich lather so a little goes a long way. The amount is perfect for the price and it is one of the better values.

Ok this is long but worth it, I hope. I absolutely LOVE this moisturizer. It is very moisturizing, and doesn't just sit on top of your skin, it soaks in! I messed up my skin barrier with some products because as I hit my 40's it couldn't handle the strong stuff (Retinal, Vit C, AHA/BHA) that I have used daily for 20 yrs. So rude, like hormone changes and wrinkles weren't enough, lol. All of a sudden my super oily skin was still oily, but also had really dry spots. I was at a loss. This moisturizer works so well and helped repair my skin barrier without breaking me out!! I also use the Avene Thermal Spring Water spray, it also really helped me get my skin back under control and I will never stop using it. The water spray is super light, feels like water, and soaks in so well... truly is very moisturizing while being super light. I apply that first, then my serums and moisturizer. **Other products I also use: the Avene Cleanance Concentrate I use on my areas where I get blemishes (still getting breakouts in your 40's is also rude)... it helps those areas stay clear but moisturized, doesn't dry my skin at ALL. Also use there Retrinal and A-Oxitive... my skin just was not tolerating my usual stronger Retinal and VitC. These two work really well without the irritation!! Iise them on alternating days for now. I have tried many many brands, skincare is my thing...and I truly love every single product I have used by this brand, really am glad I found this product line!! Hope this helps someone.

Best face lotion. Leaves my skin feeling hydrated without being oily (I have combination skin). Only downside is no sun protection. But lotions with sunscreen tend to make me break out. Ive used this lotion for about 8 years and its the only one that I dont break out with.

Bit thick and sticky it absorbs immediately and feels good I have a sensitive skin and it works for me

I purchased this cream on my dermatologist’s recommendation. Before trying Avène Cleanance Hydra, I had used moisturizers from different brands ranging from $50 to $150, but none of them worked as well for me. This is the only moisturizer that doesn’t leave a greasy film on my face. I have combination, acne-prone skin. A few years ago, I completed a course of oral retinoids, and now I’m using topical retinoids because my acne has partially returned due to hormonal changes. This cream provides excellent hydration, has a lightweight, water-like texture, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. My face stays well moisturized without looking shiny or greasy. I 100% recommend it! This is probably my tenth tube, and I’ll definitely keep repurchasing it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This cream has been a great basic moisturizer for use with acne creams (.25% tretinoin, in my case). You may notice some reviewers saying it's fake because of the blue cap and the fact that it just says "soothing," but that's the new packaging. You can see that on the Avene website. This doesn't have the "luxe" feel of some other brands, but this did the job by keeping my skin moisturized and acne free. When I am in the mood to buy something else, I usually buy something else, but this is the best budget option - definitely better than any of the drugstore brands.

It ONLY take a small amount to create great foaming action.

This crème is so good!! I like how plumping and soothing it is without being thick. It has a really nice spreadable texture and it smells lovely.
