I cast for .452/.460 round ball and .453 RNFP getting pure lead here is plain easier than running around town or trying to clean up scrap.

What I liked was a decent price, fast shipping and the package was neatly and securely packed. I purchased this lead to make cast round balls for cap and ball revolvers. I cast many hundreds of balls before trying to shoot any. I found that the lead was much harder than the pure lead I assumed I was getting and could not fit them in the revolvers even tho the balls measured exactly the sizes required. In cap/ball revolvers, the balls are cast a few thousands over size in order for them to shave a tiny ring off when loading in the cylinders. These balls would not shave and mostly got stuck in the cylinder and necessitated disassembling to remove the jammed balls. Returned for refund.

Good lead and very fast delivery but received half pound shy of 25 lbs. while casting ingots isn’t an exact process it is frustrating that metal orders are always just under what you order due to “approximate” weights. Had the same issues with another supplier. Just frustrating the consumer usually is the one who is on the wrong side of “approximate” weights. All that said will probably buy again but if under twice I’ll try another supplier.
