Great success, thoroughly enjoyed... but I'm left wondering, where's Amelie The Seal Fairy's Story?
This book is a three stories in one edition of the Rainbow Fairies. My youngest daughter loves these books. This time round our heroines (Kirsty Tate and Rachel Walker) are trying to find the broken Golden Conch Shell pieces to save the Oceans. Along the way they will meet and help Ally The Dolphin Fairy, Pia The Penguin Fairy and Tess The Sea Turtle Fairy. It follows the familiar plot pattern of all of these Rainbow Magic fairy books that may be repetitive for you reading as the adult, but are the best thing since sliced bread for the young children.Annoyingly the three stories in this book don't run in series. After Ally The Dolphin Fairy you jump to Pia The Penguin Fairy and in that story it mentions that the girls had previously helped not only Ally The Dolphin Fairy but also Amelie The Seal Fairy! What? Why have we missed out on Amelie The Seal Fairy's adventure? When we get to the third story, Tess The Sea Turtle, we are again told that the girls have found 3 pieces of the magic conch shell when we've only read about two. This raised a few questions from my daughter but she seemed OK with the omission and keen to continue. When I asked her what we should score it, my daughter said she would give this book "10,000 stars". I tried to reason with her asking her if she wasn't a bit disappointed about missing out on Amelie's story and "shouldn't we mark it down because of that?"She simply said "no" and ran off to play.So I'd mark it down, but then again, I'm an adult and this book isn't aimed at me, I'm just the mouthpiece for it so.... 10,000 stars it is then!

Ocean Fairy fun
Fans of the Rainbow fairy series will be delighted with this three-books-in-one offering. It is the first three books of the 'Ocean fairy' series so, if your little ones enjoys these stories, you can probably guarantee that they will like the remaining four,There's no new boundaries crossed here as Flowers follows a similar plot format to all the other Rainbow fairy books. Naughty Jack Frost makes an appearance at the Fairy Ocean Gala, destroying a magical conch that, when blown, allows for all sea creatures to live peacefully, in harmony and ensure they find their homes safely. When the pieces of the conch are spread out across the human world, it is down to Kirsty and Rachel to find these and reunite them with the Fairy world. Of course, they are up against the goblins that Jack Frost has placed near these pieces. Will the girls rescue the conch and build it together again before it is too late? With plenty of magic and excitement, this series of books will delight young readers. I like that this has three of the stories in one. The chapters are not too long, with illustrations on most pages. Therefore, I think completing the entire trilogy will be a massive confidence boost, considering how many pages are in this book (just over 200). On the other hand, if you little one isn't ready to read aloud, then this series of books are perfect for bedtime stories.Personally, I cannot get too excited about these stories. I find that once you have read a few, they all start to become very similar! However, the excitement of saving Fairy land, the magic that Kirsty and Rachel use, all add to a very enchanting setting which will appeal to many young readers. These books are a great way of boosting reader confidence and with enough variety of themes in the stories, there should be a selection that will intrigue most imaginations. For this series in particular, it's all about the oceans and fishes - allowing readers to become even more aware of the world around them.

Wonderful Stories That Deliver a Message
This is a hefty 3 stories in 1 collection of Rainbow Magic, Save the Ocean special. Our young 5 year old cherishes the RM collection which she borrows from her school library. It's a challenging read, but one that drives her enthusiasm to discover the tale of the fairy of her choosing and the topic that is woven into the story line which delivers a real message for young learners. This book key theme is 'Save the Ocean', as such there are a set of three tales. One for each fairy:Ally the Dolphin Fairy;Tess the Sea Turtle Fairy;Pia the Penguin Fairy.cThe stories cleverly bring the current ocean preservation topi to light in those still very young, helping our little one in developing an understanding of our precious oceans and the creatures within.Very well written structure which is straightforward for our young learner to grasp with a little effort.5 stars

Perfect!
This is perfect! As a school librarian, students are often asking for additional books in this series beyond what we currently have. They fly off the shelves and are often checked out. I couldn’t wait to buy them this book to add to our collection. This will not disappoint!
