This is an extremely well made Trapper Hat. The sheepskin material is supple and nicely tanned (Vintage -Beige). The fur is nice and full, thick, warm, and does not shed. The leather straps tie easily and keep the flaps tied down. Because of their length, when the flaps are tied up they still cover the ears nicely. My head circumference is 22 inches... I ordered the Large and it fits perfectly. The hat is comfortable. Would purchase again in a heartbeat.

Really pleased with the purchase of this hat. I Highly Recommend it to those who want a high quality, well constructed Trapper hat. The leather is soft and supple, the wool is warm and soft, the fit is perfect and add in the fact that it had a really good "limited time deal", plus an additional discount coupon available when I purchased it.... even though it would have been well worth the original price. Everything about the hat was so good, including the price, that I actually purchased a second hat for my brother-in-law for his birthday. He was thrilled to say the least. Cold heads and ears are a thing of the past for both of us now.Some buyer's comments say their hats ran small and needed to exchange for a larger size, but in my case I used the chart that was shown with hat sizes as well as measurement size. My normal hat size is 7 1/4 - 7 3/8 or L on the chart. The fit for me was right on. I'm not saying other peoples comments are wrong, just that in my case everything worked out as to the sizing/fit.I found the construction to be excellent. Seams were straight, sewing tight and even, and really like how the front wool part is permanently fixed and does not flap down. Zavelio has done a really good job and their products show it. They have a really good variety of colors and leather options to choose from and am confident other buyers will find just what they want. Once again I Highly Recommend these hats!!

Bottom line- the hat is very warm. I have been outside in 2 degree weather with a wind chill and I didn't even feel it. Nicely warm with wind protection- what more could you ask for. Definitely runs a bit small - it may be because the fur on the inside is so fluffy. If your hat size is near the upper part of the size range-definitely go one size up. The hat does have a tendency to creep up on the back of my head (hits the collar on my coat) but when tied it stays put. I wish that the ties were about an inch or two longer and not made of leather. The leather ties probably won't last as long as the rest of the hat-I would have preferred that they were either a snap or made of polyester (for longevity). The fur is somewhat coarse, I expected it to be a bit softer, but it feels fine on my nearly bald head. If the ties were a different I would have given this hat 5 stars.

Sizing chart accurate, hat fits well and looks great. Have worn it in snowstorm and mid-teens temperatures and ears and head are toasty warm. Great buy for the price.

I own all threeUGG Trapper Hat - $100 - (Retails for $195) - Not fully lined. Only the trim. Excellent leather. Sloppy fit. Doesn't cover the ears well.Overland Trapper Hat - $75 - Fully lined. Luxurious fur. Forms around the ears perfectly (untied). Soft leather but rustic "outdoorsey" looking. Could be better cut and stitched. Really well made but a little sloppy.Zavelio - $31 - Thick leather. Fur almost as luxurious as Overland. Better construction. Doesn't slide on the head as perfectly as Overland but once on fits really well. Doesn't cover the ears quite as snugly as Overland (untied). I'm a 22 and three quarters inch. The large is a smidge tight but leather stretches, fur mattes, it's already fitting better.The UGG was a waste of money. It's for fashion. The Overland is a keeper and a much better value than the UGG. The Zavelio is one of the best bargains I've come across in years. Maybe 80-90% of the Overland at less than half the price.Next year I will try a Sterkowski Trapper Hat.

at first, I was put off by this because it’s a little expensive but it’s absolute top quality extremely warm. It will actually make your head sweat unless it’s truly cold outside. Mad Bomber brand is total junk by comparison

First things first: this hat is WARM. I bought it for those below zero wind chill days, and it performs great. I like the different ear flap configurations. On most days I wear the ear flaps over my ears and tie the laces in back of the hat. Very high quality design and execution. The stitching is first-rate--no loose threads or tag ends like one sees on cheaply made hats. I bought the peach brown and the sheepskin is soft, but sturdy. This is a hat that will last many years.My head circumference is 24" on the dot, but I went with a XXL and I'm glad I did. I would guess that most men should buy the XXL if they're anywhere near 24". It's just the right amount of snug without getting itchy or feeling cramped.Shipping is directly from Turkey, but I received my hat in 3 days. I had one contact with Zavelio customer service, and they were fantastic!I plan on getting more of these for gifts.

Fits great, well made, looks like it will last a long time. The seem in the center of the forehead is quite itchy and the hat less fluffy than the pictures (despite brushing it out). It is still the warmest hat I have, and beats all the ones I bought in the past hands down. There's also a slight smell to it but that is expected with this kind of product, and it isn't overwhelming. Overall a great purchase, but I wish the forehead seem wasn't itchy. Update; After wearing this hat all winter including windy -20 celcius weather, the seem in the middle is still annoyingly itchy, high wind comes through in the back under the ears and a little under my chin so I purchased a winter liner (that also gets rid of the itchy seem issue). If it wasn't for the gaps and itchyness, this hat would be absolutely perfect. With the liner, my head/ears have been warm all winter, and despite the daily use, the hat still looks new!

This is a very nice quality item. With the flaps up it is really white. I look like a 250 pound Q-Tip. I have a rather large head so the XL size was perfect for me.
