I had to pull the install guide on their website to figure out how to remove the pressure release plugs. Mine needed an 13mm socket to pop them off then remove the plastic spacer. Would have been nice to have an Allen key for the itty bitty screws, but I did find one that worked (go small!). Looks nice! I'm sure they will cut down on the mud Review: Must have! - This is an absolute got to have if you have a 2026 Specialized Turbo Levo R. This cheap little part should come standard with the option to mount when you buy a bike that retails for 9k. Super easy to mount with 4 small mounting screws that mount directly to the Fox 36 fork that is pre-drilled for this accessory. Before, I would catch dirt and spray while cornering. This completely solves that issue. ! ## Features - Fox SHOX Mudguard XL k Fender - 36/38 Direct-Mount Black ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09JRMHDYV | | Auto Part Position | Front | | Automotive Fit Type | Universal Fit | | Best Sellers Rank | #20,723 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #6 in Bike Fenders | | Brand | FOX Factory | | Brand Name | FOX Factory | | Color | Colour | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Truck | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 625 Reviews | | Finish Type | Powder Coated | | Fit Type | Universal Fit | | Included Components | All | | Installation Type | Screw-In | | Item Highlight | FOX XL Foam Mudguard for FOX 36/38 Forks - Direct-Mount, 27.5-29" Black | | Item Type Name | Cycling | | Item Weight | 1.6 ounces | | Manufacturer | FOX | | Manufacturer Part Number | 803-01-751 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Limited Warranty | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Number | 821973426471 | | Number of Items | 1 | | OEM Equivalent Part Number | 803-01-751 | | UPC | 821973426471 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Vehicle Service Type | Truck | ## Product Details - **Brand:** FOX Factory - **Color:** Colour - **Fit Type:** Universal Fit - **Material:** Plastic - **Vehicle Service Type:** Truck ## Images ![Fox Shox Mudguard XL k Fender - 36/38 Direct-Mount Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41kXxWX1CAL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: How long is the XL fender?** A: from the horseshoe fork mount it's 3.5" out to the front, and 9.5 out the back **Q: How does this compare to the syncros trail 2 fender 36? they look similar. is there a fox orange option?** A: Not sure how it compares, theres a Orange decal that comes with it. **Q: Does this fit the 2022 Fox 38 Grip 2 fork? Thanks** A: Yes , 36/38 2020/2022 **Q: Will this fit 29" x 2.6 wheel?** A: My 29 x 2.5 assegai is as big as i would go just to allow enough clearance for stuff to get out / not rub is a little mud gets stuck in there... That being said i think it would fit, just likely tight. each tire mfg rates their width differently and the actual volume with tread is always wonky. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits! *by R***N on July 8, 2026* Installed on my Specialized Turbo Levo 4 with 38 Fox forks. ! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits Fox 36 Fork Perfectly *by B***B on August 20, 2025* This fender attaches to the Fox fork (36 or 38) at four points: the two large ports/pressure relieve button locations on the fork body lowers, and at two points on the cross-bar that connects the left & right fork stanchions together. No additional hardware is needed. The two small bolts with thread-locker already applied attaches the fork to the stanchion cross-member, and uses the fork vent port closure bolt itself to attach the fender to the fork bodies. Fender is sturdy and very secure. Looks good and performs well. ## Frequently Bought Together - FOX SHOX Mudguard XL k Fender - 36/38 Direct-Mount Black - Fox Mud Guard MY21 36-38 - RaceFace Crank Boot Protectors --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/389207840-fox-shox-mudguard-xl-k-fender-36-38-direct-mount](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/389207840-fox-shox-mudguard-xl-k-fender-36-38-direct-mount) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
