Q: Can I use post driver to drive this down?

I don't know. I have an 8" long piece of redwood 4x4 that I insert into the anchor, and then beat the anchor down to where I want it with an 18" length of 2x4. Both get pretty beat up. When the anchor is as deep as I want, I lift out the beat-up piece and replace it with the pretty, prepainted post that will stay there permanently. Then I tighten those bolts. But my efforts have all been in central Florida sand. You may need a power tool. All the best!

Yes, a 4x4 post fits post anchors perfectly. The nominal size is 4x4, but it is actually 3.5x3.5.

Q: What gauge is correct? The description says 12 but then further down it says 14… most likely 14.

There nice to use but they need to be placed in concrete. If just put in the dirt the will not stay straight up and down. The wind will blow the fence over concrete is the best way to install. 14 gauge
