Will it glue a chrome clad hub cap to the rim?

I found this product to be very disappointing. After it dried I was able to easily remove this adhesive with a light duty putty knife.

can I use this adhesive to install heavy 12x24 x 1/2" marble tiles on to slate stone to cover my existing slate fireplace surround?

Yes, you can use the product to bond marble tiles to the slate stone but for safety reasons we do recommend additional mechanical fixings together with an adhesive. It can take 48 hours for the adhesive to cure so temporary supports may be required until the adhesive cures.

Will this stick plastic to bricks?

It depends on the type of plastic. It will bond most plastics like UPVC but not some plastics like polypropylene or polyethylene.
